Cook in our beautiful kitchen, relax surrounded by poplar lattice architecture. Nap under the blue sky and sunshine coming through the dome compression ring. At night have a fire or soak in the hot tub spa. Listen to the sounds of the near by brook. In the morning drink your coffee gazing out over the Shenandoah Valley as birds and butterflies flutter within the 5 acre property and pond.

  • The beautiful tiger at the Luray Rescue Zoo. This zoo holds animals that are unable to be cared for any more or should never have become House pets to begin with. The man that owns the place was born and raised in an animal loving family and his respect and love for the animals show through his interactions and knowledge. You can schedule a behind the scenes tour of the zoo if you call ahead. During this tour I was able to pet a porcupine, feeds goats, feed bananas to a lemur, and feed the tiger pictured. We had such a magical and relaxing stay at the yurt! The space was beautifully designed, clean, and incredibly peaceful, perfect for a family getaway. The thoughtful touches like the welcome note and fresh produce made us feel right at home. We especially loved the views, the hot tub, and how close it was to Shenandoah and the river. Mary was a wonderful host, responsive and kind. We’d definitely love to come back!

Amazing Yurt- Must See!

We really enjoyed our quiet stay in this BEAUTIFUL and HUGE Yurt. The interior was amazing and airy while cozy and comfortable. The interior finishes and furniture are luxurious yet easy to relax in. Our host was as fantastic as the place itself leaving thoughtful welcome gifts to enjoy. I WOULD HIGHLY RECCOMMEND STAYING HERE!

Picturesque and romantic

The site is well planned and curated with love (and excellent taste) The yurt let's the sounds of the forest, pond, and nearby stream drift into the abode giving a deep connection to the environment around. My partner and I visited for a relaxing weekend getaway and to celebrate a birthday. I came over prepared, as the kitchen and other areas are well thought out and have every amenity available! The view is even better than the photos, and the night sky from the hot tub is gorgeous to enjoy. This is the most relaxed I have been in years, and will be a wonderful memory to keep. I plan to visit again, it was very conveniently located on top of being a beautiful space with an incredible view! Thank you!
