Misleading advertisement - Owner wanted to use home while we were in it. Do not Rent.
Unfortunately, this was a very terrible experience. We highly recommend you don't rent this home. Avoid!! 1. Issue 1 - Upon arriving, the front door was wide open, there was personal laundry was left out in the laundry room and the refrigerator was fully of contents. I called the owner to confirm nobody else was in the home and he informed me that nobody was there. However, he noted he would be in and out of the property because he needed to use his home office. 2. Issue 2 - The advertisement noted there was access to a dock and the title picture has a picture of a dock. When we arrived, there was a handwritten note from the owner stating that the advertisement was incorrect and there was, in fact, no dock access as the dock was the neighbor's. If you are planning on bringing a boat and docking, or fishing off a dock, this is not the place for you.3. Issue 3 - When we arrived the wood floor in the kitchen was buckled. The owner noted that there had been a recent flood and he needed to get the flooring fixed. At the very least, I would anticipate an owner would flag that issue for renters rather than just apologize for flooring issue and say he needed to get it fixed.We stayed in the home for less than 30 minutes and left. We are currently in the process of seeking a refund as we rented a full home and didn't feel comfortable with an owner being on the premises while we rented the home, it didn't have the dock access as promised, and the home was full of personal items. This home was not ready to be rented to others. We have rented many homes and never had an experience like this. Very odd. We highly recommend you look elsewhere.
