Never ever stay here. This place has to be condemned for safety and drug traffic. Super 8 Wyndham corporate I dare you to stay one night. The manager has said in response to similar reviews that deep cleaning and improvements are being done. It’s not true. Best location to Liberty University and such a shame.

Didn’t even get out of my vehicle. As soon as I arrived it was obvious that this is not a hotel. It is a homeless shelter. Expedia should be charged for even offering this crack house as an option for lodging. I’d rather sleep in my car

SHAME on you Wyndham. This property needs a MAJOR OVERHAUL. Room is outdated and smells so musty that I went and bought air freshener and sanitizing wipes. Iron board was broken and only 1 set of towels were provided. Telephone did not work. Horrible conditions!

This place is very dirty and not well maintained. Each time I went in and out of the building through the lobby, it reeked of the smell of fresh marijuana smoke. My room was missing a light in the bathroom, just a hole in the ceiling. There was mold in the bathroom. The carpet was stained. The walls had stains. There was not ice bucket, no coffee. The bathroom floor was slippery like something greasy was on there and not washed off. The TV didn't work. The bed cover had a burn hole in it. The bed had two fitted sheets and no mattress cover. The mattress was so stained and so dirty looking. (I didn't notice this until after the first night, or I would not have slept in the bed. ) I woke up feeling itchy.... which is when I discovered the bed, this instigated my gage reflex and decided to check out. I was so appalled. What a bummer. I would love my money back for the night I didn't stay there. This place should be a gold mine right next to campus...however, I won't be staying there again without a major overhaul. Also have video, not sure if it will let me upload it.

I'm not the type to write a negative review but this place has definitely deteriorated in the past 4 years since last staying here and over the past twenty years of staying here off and on. I even remember when this hotel was originally built and opened. I felt concerned with my safety with some of the people staying here.. or actually living here in what seems long term. This place was rundown. The bathroom ceiling was dripping down water from above and I'm sure with the bubbling of the plaster will need mold mitigation in the near future. There was no one to check us in at the front desk for probably about 10 minutes. I hope this place can remodel and turn itself around. Breakfast was also terrible and all carbs: cereal, stale muffins, bagels, waffle maker. That's it. Sad.

The property is in need of updating. The check in staff was welcoming, but the morning staff the next day wasn't as cordial. The room provided a place to sleep for one night, which is all that I really needed. But the carpet had tears/ runs, the pillows were worn out, the veneer on the door to the bathroom was coming off, and the toilet set was broken where it attached.

To be fair, this is a very old property. It was very expensive for what we got. However, we were there for graduation and it was quite literally the cheapest we could find. The door on our room was not square with the frame. There were large gaps allowing light from the hall. We were right across from the elevator and could hear every sound and I am certain anything we said could be heard in the hallway. Furthermore, the door looked like it had been fabricated out of particle board to replace an original. As bad as that was, the smell was overwhelming. I do not know if it was from previous smokers or mold or something else. I honestly do not know the source. But by the next morning I could not get out fast enough. It was a rough night and morning. The staff was friendly and I believe doing the best with what they have to work with. If I had to do it again, I'd spend an extra $100 and stay anywhere else.

Our room had a horrible odor. Smelled of mildew and dirty socks. Room was otherwise clean but smelled like the carpet had gotten wet and was left to air dry in the dark. Stairways and hallways smelled of smoke and had litter.

I would give this zero Stars if I could. I've been to a lot of hotels and this was by far the most sketchy. If you have a student who goes to Liberty, it would make sense to stay at this hotel because it's so close to campus. Don't fall for it! Stay far away from this hotel.
