“Ottima struttura, in un giardino rigoglioso e ben curato, in un paesino vicino a Santa Cruz ma lontano dal caos e dal turismo. In paese sono presenti bar, ristoranti e supermercati per qualunque necessità. L'accoglienza è stata ottima: nonostante l'arrivo alle 2 di notte a causa di un ritardo del volo, una persona ci ha aspettato e guidato fino alla Quinta.L'appartamento è dotato di ogni confort e molto ben arredato. Lo consiglierei caldamente a chi voglia andare a Madeira.”

“Ein wunderschön und modern eingerichtetes Haus in 167m Höhe über dem Meer in erster Reihe. Süd-/Ostlage. Große Terrasse, Pool, liebevoll eingerichteter Garten. Freundlicher und zuvorkommender Gastgeber, der uns zudem mit Tipps für Restaurants und Wanderungen versorgt hat. Echter Top-Tipp. Nur ein Hinweis: "nicht barrierefrei" da nur über Treppen (echt etwas sportlich) erreichbar. Für uns: jederzeit wieder!”

“Zwei tolle Wochen in diesem wunderbaren Ferienhaus. Es war alles, wie beschrieben. Auf Fragen hat Carlos schnell und hilfreich geantwortet. Die Zufahrt zum Haus ist schon nicht alltäglich aber gut zu schaffen, im Zweifelsfall sollte man einen Mietwagen mit Automatik wählen. Carlos hatte uns zur Begrüßung ein Zufahrtsvideo geschickt, coole Idee. Danke nocheinmal!”

“Nichts zu bemängeln!João und Odete waren stets freundlich, gut erreichbar und wir konnten uns mit allem an sie wenden. Check in und Check out bequem über die Schlüsselbox.Haus und Garten waren top sauber, gepflegt und gut ausgestattet.Es gab alles zum kochen, sogar Bügeleisen und -Brett.Standort ist ruhig aber mit einem Auto gut zu erreichen. “Maison au calme complet, a quelques minutes de la route principale ce qui permet d'accéder aux différents sites de l'île.2 belles chambres, salon, sale de sejour et cuisine dans un style ancien mais qui donnent tout leur cachet a ce lieu. Tres grande terrasse faite pour profiter lors des beaux jours .... nous n'avons qu'une fois pu y déjeuner compte tenu de la météo horrible en cette première semaine de Mai.Propreté impeccable, Vanda est disponible pour toute demande d'information et conseil...

“Just had an amazing holiday at the Refuge- setting is just breathtaking- Mountain Views everywhere. And I must say our host Ema was brilliant, very responsive to questions, took a call from us at 11pm to guide us as we were not sure we were on the right way and sorted a washing machine issue within 24 hours! “Das Objekt liegt etwas abgelegener über Funchal. Die Strasse dorthin ist sehr steil, ein Fahrzeug mit etwas mehr kraft ist von Vorteil, aber auch mit einem kleineren im ersten Gang machbar. :D der Garten ausserhalb des Objektes ist sehr schön und voller Natur. Auch kleine Hasen hoppeln herum. Innen ist das Objekt ein wenig Renovierung bedürftig und auf die Sauberkeit könnte man noch etwas mehr achten, aber an sich ist das Haus sehr schön. Hauptsächlich ist man ja wegen der Natur dort und die ist...

“We had a wonderful stay at Between the Sea and Mountains! The home was cozy with so much character. We enjoyed cooking on the BBQ outside in the little courtyard and in the kitchen, it had everything we needed. We loved ending our days on the balcony overlooking the ocean and mountain reflecting on the amazing day we had hiking. We would 100% recommend staying here!”

"Partiamo dai punti positivi: Posizione strategica, direi la migliore in FUNCHAL. In pieno centro con locali ovunque. La struttura è bella e la camera era silenziosissima e confortevole. Il letto comodissimo. Punti negativi: frigobar con pochissima scelta, temperatura ambiente, per cui le bibite erano calde. Inoltre non lo rifornivano se consumavi. Biancheria del letto macchiata, asciugamani bucati e per 2 volte siamo rientrati alle 15.00 e la camera non era fatta. Per essere un 5 stelle il servizio è decisamente scadente. Peccato perchè la posizione merita."
