“Given there's no staff onsite, questions and communication are all remote, leading to delay in response. Rooms were cold and heating was hard to adjust. ”

“The inn is an older nostalgic hotel that has unique charm and challenge. It is a surviving relic from a different era, so don’t expect elevators or high tech. The stairs are a challenge for some, as are the low sinks and toilets. It’s a cost effective overnight stay, but that is the best part. Aged charm has its appeal, but if you need comfort and convenience, probably not for you. The breakfast is convenient… just hit or miss on some days. Parking is tough for a large SUV, so be aware.”

“Stayed here for a night as I returned my car rental and to head out to Boston which is very convenient to get to the Downeaster Station with little walking. It was a very quiet stay and room is clean for a good $90 stay. Totally recommend it. The Tony’s Donuts are amazing also and gas station in front of the hotel. I expected less but I end up very pleased with the stay.”

“Very dirty hotel. The carpet on the floor hadn’t been properly hoovered before our check in and there was dirt / dust / stains all over chairs and other surfaces. The room unfortunately smelt of smoke (even if it’s not allowed to smoke there apparently) and the sink in the toilet was missing the knobs. Overall a terrible hotel. The only ok thing was the bed. Not uncomfortable and decent bedding. Also - the personnel at check in was very nice and helpful :) ”

“Staff was always friendly and helpful. The valet parking and hotel shuttle made getting around easy and painless. Clean, pleasant lobby with plenty of comfortable seating. Room was clean and fresh with modern conveniences.”

“We’ve stayed at this hotel 5 times now and have always enjoyed the historic charm and location. Check-in during this stay went smoothly, however we were disappointed when we arrived to find the toilet in our room was dirty. We also asked the front desk if the TVs allowed streaming services like Netflix or Prime Video, and the girl at the front responded rather rudely that “we are a historic hotel, so we do not offer smart TVs.” We completely understand preserving the character of a historic...
