“Our stay was incredible. Desmond, our guide, gave us some incredible sights and we were really lucky to see 4 out of the big 5 alongside various other interesting animals.
The reserve is vast and there is plenty to see, the fact that there are various lodges across the reserve means even if you have a fairly quiet hotel, there are plenty of rangers out doing drives which helps your chances of animals being spotted and your ranger making their way there.
The accomodation is lovely, a perfect room...

“Beautiful resort, exciting game drives with competent, funny and friendly Expert (Philip), good- partly exzellent food, very nice and private SPA
Beds are too short, some things are broken (like the water pipes)
Anyhow, if you manage to fix this minor issues, it is a 5* experience
No doubt, that we would return only to this lodge”

“Great place to stay. We had plenty of space in our room, and didn't get to use the kitchen area but could prepare a meal very easily!
Only complaints are limited parking (otherwise have to park on the street and the area is a bit dodgy), and nothing for load-shedding when it happens. We were completely in the dark. Not even a torch. ”

One piece of information I wish we had known before arriving. 1) Checkin time is 2 pm and this is exactly the tone they serve lunch . We had eaten before we arrived- but they were expecting us to eat .
2. We did our first game drive at 3:30 pm on the day we arrived. I only had a light Hoodie we stayed out till the sunset then drove back in the dark It was much cooler than we expected. They do offer...

A warm welcome on arrival and our room was very spacious and comfortable ( the bed was quite hard but perhaps the mattress was new).
