Grea location and locker Canykn Lodge icing on top!

Great layout and location. Very close to Vons and shops and only 6 minutes ro Canyon Lodge. The kitchen does not have the usual basics like salt ans pepper so be prepared. Only real disappointment for us was that the jacuzzi on the balcony was not full/functioning/ready and the washing machine and dryer unit was out of order and looked like it has been some time.fosomr time. order for a while.

Super convenient

It was great having 3 bathrooms for us and the ski storage locker at the Canyon Lodge was really helpful. Great stay.

Tired but charming

This property has a fantastic wood stove, nice beds and decent sized kitchen. The property looks like it has not had a makover in 30 years. Heater in second bedroom broken, one of the heaters in living room broken and one of the fuse boxes is locked away outside so if it blows you cannot get half the lights to work until maintenance comes out.

Ok if it’s just a place to sleep

This stay was kinda disappointing. It was fine the check in location was off site and you had to stop at a separate location just inconvenient for checking in and out that way. When I rent a property I look at pictures. I sometimes open the description but when it is 2-3 pages of fluff I just skim, normally pictures tell all. This property has a beautiful indoor hot tub pictured but supposedly it hasn’t worked for over a year. I went back and looked in the description and you MUST open it fully to see it states (temporarily out of order), but my thoughts are if it’s been out of order for a year take the pictures down. At this point it’s just a false advertisement. I told the manager that and they basically said sorry about you we’ll think about it. Obviously they didnt care because those pictures are still up. They claimed it was made up with a visit to the athletic club free but that place was very run down and closes very early. Terrible place for a family. Good location to get to the village quickly. Washer drier was also out of order. No air condition so got pretty hot. If you need a place to sleep great but not exactly an ideal place to relax

Cozy, clean, spacious cabin

We enjoyed our stay here, as it was cozy, clean and spacious enough for 4 adults and 3 kids. Even with all of our snow gear, the rooms felt like they had space (closets and the layout). The beds were firm but comfortable. The heaters worked very well (fixed from some of the last reviews). The jacuzzi was an added bonus and heated perfectly fine, was clean and very nice after long days on the slopes! The kitchen was a bit older looking, but worked perfectly well and was well stoked with dishes for cooking and serving food. They even had a kids dish cabinet! They also have lots of movies and games (great for the kids). The ONLY negative was that the lighting is still pretty dim upstairs in the main area - a handful of lights weren't working/burned out. We told management and they fixed a few of them right away, and said they would get the others fixed in the near future. Responsive service! We look forward to staying here again. It was GREAT having a 2 BR + 3 full bathrooms. No waiting for showers and it was nice to have bathrooms in each of the bedrooms for privacy.

Good location

This place was extremely convenient, I love how the bedrooms were on the first floor which made it a lot easier when unpacking. The location is amazing and only a few minutes from Mammoth. The lightbulbs were a little dim but the price for the value is great. Overall, a quaint place with a great location for convenient skiing.

Jacuzzi was dirty and heaters didn't work.

The main reason we selected this unit was for the jacuzzi. After it had heated and then overheated there we many floating objects, such a huge disappointment. We attempted to warm the master bedroom with the plug in heater, closed the door with the heater on. After a few hours the temp only raised a few degrees. We brought in another heater but the room was not able to hold the power draw, circuit breaker tripped. We went throughout the house looking for the panel, this now about 10 pm. We couldn't find the panel so we called the 24 hour number. Jake called back within minutes and attempted to walk us through finding the breaker box to no avail. Jake stopped by to hunt for it as well, found it and reset the breaker. Jake was unable to get the in wall heaters working also, said that its a problem. The next day we visited the rental office to talk with someone. Gave them a run down but did not seem to have a sense of urgency or care that our unit was in the condition that we reported.

our stay was short but we loved the coziness of the place.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. I am still giving it a 5 stars because it was so organized and easy to check in. The only small recommendation is that the house windows are not enough to provide good air flow. I would just recommend the owners put a couple small portable fans in the closets for use if needed. It happened to be very hot the weekend we went, which I realize is not the norm. I loved the location. We were able to ride our bikes to town.

Wanted to be happy

Check in was my first clue this wasn’t going to be a fun place to stay. The front desk clerk was very unfriendly and acted put out when asked a question. When we arrived to the unit I wasn’t aware when booking this condo, the kitchen is on the top floor, that was pretty unconventional after hauling all the luggage and then groceries that we did bring from the parking spot that was far away from our unit. Apparently it is not assigned parking and the resident near 28 feels they HAVE to park right in front of this unit only. The washer and dryer did not work, which would not of been a problem, but after we waited hours for the jacuzzi to finally start working and warm up, after getting into it, our swim clothes smelled like dirty socks. Overall the unit has a place to sleep, but believe me the entire time we were all there we were looking for somewhere else to stay the next time we come up.

Comfortable Stay

Great location close to activities. The booking and key pick up was very easy. The home was easy to find and in a great location not too close to the main road. The kitchen was fully stocked with pots, pans, dishes and utensils. The dishwasher works great and the soap was provided. The place was a little outdated but comfy. Had some issues with the hot tub but management was responsive. The heater inside the rooms didn’t work but we left the doors open so the central heat in the rest of the house worked to warm the two rooms. There were more than enough blankets, sheets and pillows. The main room with the queen bed was comfortable. The bed in the 2nd room with bunks was terribly uncomfortable. IF it weren’t for the uncomfortable bed, I would come back.

Great rental property

The check-in process was seamless, which is quite opposite from my last experience with another company during a stay at a different condo project. This condo is in a great location and has a cozy feel with a hot tub on the glass-enclosed balcony. I would rent this condo again for my next stay.

Comfy & Rustic Condo felt like a cabin, we loved it!

I loved the lay out, especially nice having the bathrooms in each room and another upstairs! The décor is rustic and cozy just as described...great kitchen! Cozy couch, great table, literally only complaint is the bottom bed on the bunk bed, lumpy and lop sided (probably needs a new mattress) but after a few drinks you didn't notice LOL! Hot Tub chemicals smell strong and linger thru the house but we just took out the chlorine floaty thing that was in it and that got rid of the smell! Over all we would definitely stay here again! Great location, close to Vons and Eagle Lodge, close to shuttle stop and fun snow play areas just behind the complex and off the beaten path! Thank you for having us, we had a great time!

LOVE THIS PLACE!

This is probably one of the best VRBOs I have stayed in. Super clean, spacious and cozy, and the pictures are very representative of the place. A couple things that make it extra nice: TONS of hooks in the entryway and in each bathroom so you have more than enough for everyone's jackets/clothes and towels with no doubling up; great water pressure and large shower heads; lots of extra pillows in the closet if you need more for the bed; storage closet with sleds, shovel, ice scraper, etc.; very effective heaters for the whole house (it was a blizzard weekend so ample heat was a necessity!). Our family of 4 was super happy staying here and would love to come back!
