The Guesthouse and it's squeaky beds ...

If your goal of this vacation is to stay in the hotel all of the time, this isn't the best choice: the beds are squeaky and the curtains are just not that darkening. Also there was this weird smell in the house, but we opened the window and when we came back at night, our room had a normal hotel-smell. But you know, it was cheap and sufficientL the owner was very kind although we didn't understand that much of what he was saying (no native speakers), there was a Lidle closeby and also the bus stopt very near the guesthouse. Within 30 min, you're in the city! We were expecting a youth hostel, so we were happy that we had our own room :) We concluded that this guesthouse and it's neighborhood were something else and are glad that we saw this -rather ghetto- side of the city

Håpløs beliggenhet med beruset personale

En forferdelig hotellopplevelse. For det første vanskelig å finne frem. Huseieren stod utenfor og røkte når vi ankom, og ble helt forfjamset når vi kom. Spurte etter navnet rommet var bestilt på, men ga ingen tegn til å reagere når vi bladde opp bookingnummer og navn. Han var tydelig beruset og luften i hele bygningen var tydelig påvirket. Kom inn på rommet og tenkte at det var OK. Sengetøyet var skittent, og etterhvert begynte luften fra gangen å sive inn på rommet. I frykt for egen helse forlot vi stedet i løpet av 20 min. Nabolaget fremstod også som svært utrygt. Guesthouset har kun et lite bad som deles av de 6 rommene de har + huseieren selv, som selv bor innerst i gangen uten dør. Det lå brukt undertøy på badet og badet hadde mugg.

Better never stay in this hotel

It was horrible hotel The picture they showed on the link was totally change. No Toilet, no body to help There was only 1 person from staff and he was drunk. No WiFi, room size was too small and very smelly.

Hôtel affreux, sale, mal famé, dans un endroit pas sécurisé. Un véritable scandale!!! Nous exigeons le remboursement intégral du séjour.

Very basic guest house

The rooms smellt of tobacco (or worse). Someone had put a plastic bag over the fire alarm so they could smoke in the room. Someone had tried to kick in both our door and the bathroom door. The beds were very basic. Cheap price but very dingy. We left after one night although we'd paid for 2. I couldn't get the smell of smoke out of my clothes and hair all day.

Dette var en siste liten-bestilling, og vi fikk det vi betalte for. Billi overnatting, men ikke mer enn det. Den ansatte der var hyggelig, men det hele virka litt merkelig. Middels møkkete på rommene, og et felles bad som hadde sett bedre dager. Fungerte greit som et sted å sove, men ikke noe for familieturen.

Find somewhere different!

The area is shocking, constant police patrols needed. The downstairs smells of weed. The room itself was clean and habitable. The smoke detector was covered with a plastic bag, i can only imagine to enable smoking. I checked out immediately and found somewhere knew which hotels.com were very helpful with

shocking

Quite shocked at the place to be honest. No signs difficult to find. 10-15 quid from city centre in taxi. Bathroom smells of urine and bed felt like it was going to break anytime constantly squeaking at every little turn. Didnt bother to try breakfast. Laundry facilities dirty didnt use. Not suitable for children its a area full of drug users and had people walking around in underwear.

insecure

My room was very insecure, the people down stairs were smoking drugs and broke out into a fight. I wouldn't recommend staying here even if it was free.

pleasant enough owners, very helpful. Area looked a bit run down but, I am used to that living near Glasgow. The garage owner next door was very helpful too as I had car trouble on the way down and he sorted it for me?

Stay Away at all costs!!!!!

Falsely advertised!!!! Poor room standards, bathroom falling apart and the shower was disgustingly dirty, none of the pictures advertised are for this guest house. Bedding was dirty and had burn holes, room was cold and damp. We were given a ground floor converted sitting room, with two double beds and curtains that wouldn't close properly. Neighbourhood is appalling. Was told before booking it was suitable for children, not in a million years would I ever recommend or visit again. No door handle on inside of kitchen. Manager was very unhelpful and very scary. The £5 breakfast (that we lucky didn't order) was cornflakes and toast which you had to get yourself, but looking at the state of the kitchen, health hazard!! We had booked for 2 nights and escaped at 0500 after the first night (if we hadn't of been so tired, we would of never set foot in here, but thought we would give it a chance to redeem our first impressions). Have complained to the booking site and also reported to trading standards and environmental health!!

Aucun signe exterieur n'indique que c'est un hotel ou un b&b.Nous avons tourné une demi-heure avant de nous résoudre à sonner à ce qui paraissait être une maison particulière. Personne n'a répondu au téléphone. Des poubelles éventrées dans le jardin et des gravats nous accueillent, le propriétaire insultant et débraillé nous a ouvert la porte en mangeant ses baked beans dans notre chambre, saleté répugnante, les seules toilettes à la chasse d'eau non tirée nous offraient les étrons du propriétaire.Quand je le lui ai fait remarquer, il nous a fichus dehors. J'ai trouvé pour un prix identique un travelodge propre et au centre de manchester. Je demande le remboursement c'est une honte. J'ai appelé hotel.com et ai été transférée sur une plateforme américaine qui m'a laissée en plan à une heure du matin

Big suprise!

Don't even think about it! Nothing about this lived up to the advertised/promised facilities. Might just suite a desperate back packer with no taste or standards (no disrespect to back packers).

Good Service

Very clean and helpful staff. It is located in a neighbourhood which does not look very nice, however don't let this put you off. The staff are lovely and very very helpful. The rooms are clean. The car was left over night out the front of the house and it was safe. good place to stay if you are looking for an overnight stay. Good for young groups!

Cheap and cheerful - just what we needed

Friends and I headed up there for a night out in Manchester and the Guesthouse did the trick. Whilst it may have been £10 - £15 in the taxi to the city centre, it was still far cheaper than booking centrally. The beds were comfortable and rooms spacious. Did have to wait once or twice to use the bathroom and the shower was a little temperamental but for the price we paid it was acceptable

zwei Hotels

Ich bin hier gekommen aber es gab keine Verbindung zum Server. Deshalb habe ich umzogen wo es die Verbindung gab. Da war sehr gut denn Italienische Frau am Information war sehr nett. Sie hat uns geholfen mit alles. Deswegen konnten wir glückliche Reise haben.
