La Plata Monti Bunkhouse - Accogliente / comodo / economica

BUNKHOUSE / CABIN: Questa piccola cabina è perfetta per una coppia o una piccola famiglia unita che viaggia con un budget limitato. In origine era una struttura di registro una stanza costruire nel 1989 per i proprietari della cabina principale per zona notte per i bambini grandi e gli altri visitatori. Nel 2015 ho rifinito dentro e fuori e ha aggiunto un bagno, angolo cottura e ponte coperto. Si è fatto a mano unico, confortevole, accogliente e carino come un orecchio bug. Anche se, è vicino alla cabina principale, separato parcheggio, ingresso, sdraio e grill sono posizionati in uno sforzo per ottenere privacy anche quando la cabina principale è occupato. La sala principale ha un letto matrimoniale con materasso nuovo, letti a castello e una zona giorno. L'angolo cottura è contro parte superiore del granito con goccia in cuoco-top e forno compatto. Ogni bit di spazio è utilizzato per fornire gli utensili da cucina ben attrezzata e la conservazione degli alimenti per coloro che godono di buoni piatti fatti in casa. Il tavolo e sedie sul ponte patio esterno offrono un luogo ideale per cenare e rilassarsi, ma se si preferisce da pranzo all'interno di una tabella del foglio di goccia e sedie pieghevoli possono ospitare 4. Il bagno (wc e doccia) è nuovo e ben arredate.
POSIZIONE / IMPOSTAZIONE: Questa proprietà si trova ai piedi della catena montuosa La Plata a soli 5 miglia di strada di campagna asfaltata proveniente da Mancos, Colorado. Imposta su 3 acri di pini, ginepri e querce di Gambel. Ad un'altitudine di 7820 piedi le serate estive sono generalmente fresco e le temperature diurne sono miti. La parte superiore della mesa Mesa Verde NP segna l'orizzonte dei tramonti serali. Una unità di 30 minuti si arriva a centro storico di Durango. Questa vicinanza offre bellezze naturali ed anche molte attività all'aria aperta e attrazioni da elencare. Prendetevi del tempo per rilassarsi sulla terrazza e godere gli uccelli residenti, cervi e forse anche un avvistamento di volpe, bobcat o coyote.

We enjoyed our stay at this rustic cabin. It was well furnished for 1-3 persons; was clean; very quiet; with beautiful mountain views in a forest setting. Would definitely stay again when visiting kids and grandkids in the area.

My kids and I loved our stay at this cute little cabin! It was the perfect home base for our adventures in Mesa Verde and Durango. The host was so kind and helpful (especially when there was an unexpected snowstorm and my vehicle got stuck!). The cabin was clean and in good repair. It was close enough to grocery stores and gas stations, but far enough we got the secluded camping vibes we were looking for!

Wonderful cabin, excellent communication with host & accurate description of property. I'd strongly recommend future guests to bring fans, cabin does not cool well or have proper air flow without access to back door. Keeping all windows/door open helps but not sufficient during current heat wave. We look forward to our next visit & strongly recommend.

We enjoyed our stay at the cabin. We could cook anything in the compact little kitchen and the grill. We spend most days exploring the area (nearby mountains and streams and Mesa Verde), and a some time just relaxing on the porch! We picked a week that was ...well...hot but the host was very attentive and brought an extra fan by. I hope to come back.

Cain and property were as advertised. So cute! and had everything we needed for a week. Great base location for fantastic day trips enjoying nature! We kayaked at 3 different lakes, did scenic drives and the train ride in Durango. Enjoyed looking around downtown Mancos also. Had deer in our yard one morning! Would love to make a return trip to this little cabin!

We stayed at this cabin in November and fell in love with it’s cozy and comfortable style! We loved it so much we came back in June to experience it in the summer! This cabin has everything you need for a family getaway- including access to a wooded yard, and close to hiking and biking trails. Chelsea is super kind and responsive with her communication. We hope to return again in the future!

Nestled above the town of Mancos, this little cabin has everything my little family needed for a weekend getaway from the stress of the city. Clean, well stocked(love the attention to detail!) and ridiculously cute, I could spend every weekend in that cabin! At first I was hesitant to book at a place that seemed so far away from everything, but there's actually SO much to do nearby. We spent an entire day at Mesa Verde Narional Park even with half the trails and all the buildings still closed off, and finished with a dip in the river at Cottonwood Park near downtown Mancos. We want to return for the cidery that was closed, as well as some time to explore all that nearby Durango has to offer. We didn't have enough time! Chelsea is gem and goes above and beyond! Can't say enough great things about this place!

The compact and well-equipped cabin/bunkhouse was a perfect home base from which my 89 y.o. dad and I explored the area over a week. We cooked and enjoyed quiet, peaceful mornings and evenings on the deck. I could easily see a couple or young family here. Located a short drive down a paved county road off of US 160 just east of Mancos, it was very convenient for day trips to all major sites in the area - Durango, Silverton, Telluride, Dolores, Cortez, Mesa Verde. We especially enjoyed Canyon of the Ancients Heritage Center near Dolores, Absolute Baking Company and Bomdiggity in artsy Mancos, and Sutcliffe Wines in McElmo Canyon.

We loved this place! My wife and I stayed here for a short getaway from Denver. It's in a great location with just a walk up the road to the national forest, 10 minutes from Mesa Verde NP, and 30 minutes to Durango. We saw several deer and elk roaming the neighborhood. The cabin is very well taken care of, and the owner is super friendly and accommodating.

The cabin was absolutely perfect . I enjoyed not having a television or internet. It was a true getaway. The location was great and not too far from town. In the morning we would see a few deer feeding outside our door. Rollin was a great host. Upon arriving there were a couple of delicious cookies on the table . (how thoughtful!) .We went horseback riding just around the corner. That was so amazing, peaceful and beautiful. We are looking to come back again!

The cabin was beautiful and clean! The location could not have been better. Very close to lots of mountain bike trails and great food in any direction. An absolutely perfect place to unwind after a day of fun. We spent lots of time enjoying the deck. Horseback riding within minutes of the cabin. The owner, Rollin, was great and made sure we had everything we needed. We’ll definitely be back.

We had a great stay here, it has everything you need and nothing you dont't! It's close to local attractions but we enjoyed a day of staying in and barbecuing as well. It's a great place to getaway and unplug!
