“This apartment is in a two family house on the second floor. The downstairs tenants had a party the night we stayed and we could hear everything which kept us up until 1am. The apartment was clean yet it had a very strong unpleasant smell that made it feel dirty. ”

We were one hour outside of Syracuse when I texted the host to ask about keys and a lockbox. I got a text back that stated we were supposed to have been there five days previous. There was no shower liner, so a little concerned about keeping the water in the shower.The shower was plumbed backwards, so that took a second to figure out if there was hot water; maybe just a marker of some sort will help finding hot and cold.
