The worst part for us was the cockroach in the dishwasher- alive. It was enormous.Carpets are gross. The rest of the place was fine, just really tired.The pool is just a tiny hot tub-size plunge at pool temps. It was too chilly for us to use.

This property left a lot to be desired. The bed was very uncomfortable. The access to the dock/boardwalk was blocked off so there was no water access anywhere near. Advertised as having a pool but when you read the notes at the very end states this property has no access to the amenities. Then discovered a very large cockroach when loading the dishwasher. The toilet tank in the ensuite bathroom leaked when flushed. There were lights burnt out in the bathroom and the bedroom light switch did not work for the ceiling fan light, had to stand on bed to pull the string to turn on the light. I would not recommend this property.

The location of the rental was perfect for us, along with the size of the place for 4 people.The townhouse could use some TLC... light fixture upstairs didn't work so we needed to get on the bed to turn the light off by the cord. The kitchen is VERY poorly stocked...there was only one kitchen towel, no big knives, not big pots and pans or bowls for serving.We were unable to get the TV in the master bedroom to work.Like I stated above great location, the place just needs some TLC!!

Our hostess was quick to answer questions, sofa very uncomfortable, we could not go fishing on the dock, because of damage, two tv’s in the bedrooms did not work, our host sent out repair man but he was unable to fix the problem, beautiful blue water in the canal but all windows in back bedroom were the worst with algae not clean or clear enough to enjoy unless you went outside, I was surprised and not expecting to see a sign in the house to wash and dry the linens and towels where we had to supply the detergent. We paid for cleaning fee, and service fee. Ants in kitchen and bathroom. House was very nice but needs more cleaning maintenance. Grounds were beautiful. Wish we were more informed about things before our trip. We would go back if it was handled differently. Loved the Keys, Thank you

This condo was great! Very clean and comfortable, the kitchen had every appliance needed, beds were comfortable, hot tub was wonderful. The resort that the property is on is a great spot! We visited 2 of the bars, the resort stores, and Angler and Ale restaurant which was wonderful! It was only a 10-20 minute trice to get to anything on Marathon Key. If you are looking for a relaxing place to stay with plenty of room and great location, this is your rental!

Excellent Property

Our stay was one of the best stayed at Duck Key and Hawks Cay plenty of times throughout the years and this experience was the best I ever had property manager was great and very communicative AAAA

The property can use a deep cleaning the vents are terrible and the plunge pool is dirty. I Asher wasn’t working but advised the owner they said they should of communicated prior to booking.

We’ve stayed on Duck Key several times and I don’t think this place is as well-maintained as the others. The house was not clean, even found food from previous guests left outside and a cockroach in the bathroom. For the price, there are nicer places. Also, we were very disappointed to learn that you don’t have access to the dock, which is advertised in the listing photos.

Keys Getaway

This was a great spot to enjoy a large part of the Keys chain. The location midway down the Keys gave us access to so much. The space was exactly what we needed. The area was lovely and the amenities on the property were fantastic. Julio was great to work with and responded to our questions and needs very quickly.

The kitchen had ample supplies. We were there during the coldest and windiest week of the year. The heat didn’t work so it got pretty cool. We didn’t use the the deck much since it was so cool. The condo is on a canal but a fence blocks the view and access is not allowed. The small tub was not heated so we could not use that. Other than that the condo accomodated 2 couples well. We enjoyed visiting the dolphin research center nearby and would have enjoyed it more if the weather was nicer. There are several nice restaurants nearby.

Great space and location in Duck Key

This condo was the perfect size for my family of 5. The owner was consistently responsive. The place was very clean and tidy. We did have several sightenings (5) of cockroaches (some were dead) but the recent rains down there might have contributed. The owner had stated they recent had the unity fumigated as well.Overall everything we needed including an in unity washer/dryer which is great. The two bathrooms was great for traveling with 3 children. The location was lovely and some many walking trails. The resort was nearby to offer restaurants but do note this unit is NOT part of the resort so you do not have access to the resort amenities. Overall a nice central location to Marthon and Islamorada (20 minutes either direction) which provided activities, shops, restaurants and grocery stores.Highly recommend.

It was a cute place it just is in need of some TLC. The kitchen cabinet door was falling off and the pool & patio was dirty. We didn't spend too much time in the townhome because we were there to charter fish but the coffee pot definitely needs to be a little bigger since the unit accommodates 6 people Surely nothing so bad that I wouldn't stay there again though

Lovely Home in Duck Key

Beautiful, wonderful, perfect little beach house. We enjoyed our time fully. The home was well-appointed, comfortable, CLEAN, and very serene. We would absolutely stay here again! Our only suggestions: please provide garbage bags, laundry detergent, and additional baking pans. :) this would make things a bit easier on a family who utilizes the kitchen and laundry. Overall tho, our stay was perfect. Highly recommend.

A qualified 5 star recommended VRBO property, with an understanding of the condition and amenities

Our family of 5 enjoyed our stay at this Duck Key property. We've been to many properties in the Keys, and in fact have lived in the Keys previously. We would consider staying here again depending on the nightly rate. The owner is communicative and responsive to any requests. The middle Keys are a great location to vacation. The condition of the unit is clean and functional. It has been a long time since anything has been updated with this property and if the owner wanted the unit to be in the Hawk's Cay resort program, there would need to be some serious rehabbing to get it up to their standards: furniture, lighting, mattresses, windows, window coverings, dishes, carpet, kitchen utensils, paint, bathrooms, etc., etc. Speaking of the resort, this property is not part of the Hawk's Cay resort. Because of this, you won't have access to any of the resort amenities, even though the description may imply otherwise. It should also be noted: this property and all the Hawk's Cay properties lining this canal have zero access to the dock directly behind the property. This is not a temporary repair, this is a permanent ban as the privately owned homes on the opposite side of the canal have the only legal access. Do not bring your boat unless you have space reserved at the local marina as you will not be able to use the dock behind the townhouse. Again, we would return this particular property as long as the nightly price reflected the tired condition.

I reserved at this villa since my sister and I have stayed at this resort for several years as part of our memorial weekend family traditional. The amenities of the resort were not included,with the rental.obe of the upstairs bathrooms was leaking everytime you would flush the toilet. The master bedroom had roaches along as in the kitchen. The pool cuzzi never worked, when i called the owner he said it was out on a timer to let him know when I wanted to go in. I shouldnt have to call someone everytime i would like to use the pool cuzzi. The villa had no garbage bags, detergent to wash dishes or clothes. The bottom floor smelled like weed tge whole time. I will definitely not be using them again. Owner wasn't as helpful as you would expect after paying that kind of money. He hust didnt care....
