Check out this weekend retreat getaway vacation rental. This 5 bedroom 4.5 bath 3800 sq ft home sits on 40 acres and is just 2 minutes away from the Gable Hill Wedding Venue and 8 minutes from Swiss Valley Ski and Snowboard area. Newly renovated this home is the perfect place to host the family for your special event weekend. Summer guests can enjoy the 20' x 40' heated, inground salt water pool, outdoor bluetooth sound system and outdoor tv. Discounts are available for non summer guests.

Very private spot, perfect for a family getaway! From the pool to the beautiful deck to the large lounge area upstairs, there are so many opportunities to gather! Yet the placement of the bedrooms also allowed couples privacy. There were a number of spots for private, reflective times as well. Mike was a very responsive host. In particular I was impressed with the provisions in the kitchen for meal prep in comparison with other VRBO houses. My family wants me to reserve a week again next year!

A group of 9 ladies came for our annual Girl’s Weekend. This was the first time we rented a place with a pool and we will definitely do it again! Our weather wasn’t the best, so we had no choice but to hang out inside & that is where we noticed shortcomings. There is NO WHERE for a large group of people to comfortably hang out! There is plenty of seating - bar stools & a couple of occasional chairs - & if you were enjoying the space primarily outside, this review would probably read a lot differently. There is a large sectional, but it is in the loft, so not really in a location where lots of people would congregate. There were a LOT of bugs (even with special mosquito eaters & a bug zapper that we brought with us after reading the reviews) & frogs/toads were EVERYWHERE on the deck at night. It was insane! The pool was big enough for 9 adult women w/rafts to float around, but it was really buggy, too - like we wondered if the pool was working properly. They had a nice gazebo down there, plenty of rafts/towels & there was a big fridge just inside the door that was great for putting cold beverages in. All in all, it was a great stay & a great time, despite the terrible weather. I would recommend this place in the summer & I would just cross your fingers you have good weather!! :)

Mike was a great host. The property was as amazing as the pictures. Very roomy. Plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms. We loved the pool, grilling out, the game room, the fire pit and outdoor movie nights! We took a day trip to Holland as well. Such a great stay! We would definitely book again!

Wonderful Stay

Great place to host my 35th birthday party with myself and 7 friends. Kitchen was large and stocked well. Pool was great. Perfect temperature. There was a zipped gazebo for the bugs. Great stay!!

Great house

We just left and our stay was fantastic!! We had everything we needed and more. Mike was so easy to work with. We had 10 adults there and plenty of room. Beautiful outdoor pool area too!

Great for gatherings

Hosted a pre-wedding celebration here. Even though the May weather wasn’t ideal (40-60s), the host was willing to heat up the pool for us and the water was able to be in the 80s. Nice big deck space for hanging out. Great seclusion, didn’t have to worry about being too loud and bothering anyone.

Wonderful house for Gable Hills Wedding Venue

Stayed for a wedding at Gable Hills with family. Each bedroom had a bathroom so getting ready was super easy! Iron and steamer was an added bonus! The house gave everyone plenty of room to roam and room to stay together, kitchen was well supplied as was the amount of towels, washcloths, and linens. The host was excellent to work with and answered any questions and concerns within in minutes. Was a wonderful place to stay!

QUIET BEAUTIFUL SPACIOUS

We have a girls weekend every year and this year we wanted to treat ourselves to a relaxing weekend in the pool. We got just that and more. The house is beautiful and property is beautiful, with so much space for everyone. It was the perfect break for 7 moms from their everyday life! We have already discussed coming back! Great stay!

The house was great, clean and comfortable. Pool was fantastic. Tons of floaties and beach towels. We also enjoyed the fire pit, billiards and darts in the evening. The bluetooth speakers outside was a nice touch. Kitchen had everything. Some of the restaurants are closed during the week but there is a small grocery store with butcher in town so we were able to grill. The property was awesome….deer would walk through the back at dusk every night…one night there was a group of 6. It was awesome to see. Michael was very responsive when I had a question. We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend!

Nice house with good amenities

We enjoyed our stay at this house. I liked all the little touches. Lots of extra towels, blankets, sheets for us to use. The beds were very comfortable. The dinnerware was plentiful, clean and perfect for outdoor use on the gorgeous deck and around the fire pit. The pool was nice but cold. The pool heater wasn’t working and couldn’t get fixed since it was a holiday, so double check with the property manager if this is a must have. There were a ton of pool toys and floats which was great. The dart board and pool table was in good condition. Wish there was family sitting room to accommodate all of us to hang out in one room though. It forced us to use the outdoor space more. But since there were no neighbors around it was perfect to play music and hangout on the deck through the late evening hours without disturbing anyone. Because it’s close to a wooded area there were a ton of bugs, luckily I brought my thermacells and a bug zapper so it wasn’t as bothersome for us. Most things like food/groceries and Diamond lake is about 15min away. Overall, nice house with good amenities.

Beautiful outside deck and property, Mike was great!

The house was clean and comfortable, the outside deck and property was beautiful. We had a great time by the pool and there were lots of pool towels and floats provided, Mike even had kids life jackets available for us. Mike was great to work with and very responsive and accommodating!

Perfect for family

Beautiful and quiet property! A family member got married at Gable Hill and the property was so close to the venue. Rooms were comfortable, plenty of linens and towels. We all enjoyed our stay.
