“The accommodation/peoperty is in good condition and has been very well maintained as a heritage Victorian type architecture. The sitting area at the back was a bit messy and not well kept. It was great having a shared common dining room and sitting areas where we could relax, enjoy a cup of tea or a drink at the end of the day or in the mornings. “The Rivulet is located on busy Sandy Bay Road, which makes getting into and out of the property a litte tricky. It is conveniently located to the Salamanca Market, which we were able to walk to (30-40 minutes) and also to the Bruny Island boat tour pick-up location. Sandy Bay Road has lots of shops within easy walking distance (Coles and Woolworth). We especially enjoyed one of the bakery shops where we purchased meat pies and cherry tarts. “The beds were not comfortable. The only positive points was the neighbourhood surrounding. Just shows sometimes it’s best to just go to a hotel for a comfortable night sleep”

“Staff are very busy so expect wait in line to check in, ask a question, get in to breakfast. Also breakfast items were not restocked quickly enough. No bowls and no one to ask, no cups for juice(did get restocked), pastries slow in putting out more. Juice wasn’t cold. Great position, close to everything, staff doing their best but could do with more staff in our opinion, they all were very busy. Told valet car was out the back when it was out the front as well. ”

“The hotel was nice, the parking is a joke. Motorcycles parking valay wanted 30 bucks each. They donr ide bikes, expect you to walk 2 blocks in full bike gear carrying your iwn luggage and try to charge you 30 bucks ontop of your hotel room for same. 11 bikers from Melbourne had a very heated conversation with the manager who looked about 15 years old, who said well you can always go park somewhere elses if you dont.like it. ”

“Clean and spacious room. Kitchen facilities are good. Laundry and washer is useful. Housekeeping not up to par. They have forgotten the laundry powder and coffee capsules (very important for me). ”
