“The room had a great view, was small but comfortable, and the bathroom had been updated. Evening meal, breakfast staff were friendly and polite. The car park had limited spaces. As other guests have mentioned, the stairs to the rooms are steep and numerous”

Mattress was really thin, when you sat on it you were basically sat on the bed base and when you laid on the bed you could feel the springs in your back and side. “Returning to this historic hotel for a third visit was just as enjoyable as ever. Although my room was smaller this time, it was still beautifully maintained and very comfortable. I was especially grateful to be allowed an early check-in at no extra cost, which made my trip even more relaxing. “Centrally situated near to all amenities. My single room was basic but comfortable enough, spotlessly cleaned every day and quiet. Breakfast (included) was plentiful and well cooked and presented. I recommend that you check the hot water on entry as when I checked in I wsinceas very tired after my journey and piled into bed.
