This out-of-the-way hotel was a disappointment. The pictures don’t represent the general decrepit and shabby nature of the place. At the dead-end of a small village road, it was very tough to find (small sign just next to the front door) and inside a pretty run-down cloister/monastery. While the concept of staying in a unique place is appealing, the overall experience wasn’t great because the execution is off.
The highlight was the friendly staff, cleanliness of the room and check-in area (despite some funky bathroom doors), and room AC in a very hot time of year. The lowlight was the bad Wi-Fi, small/cramped bathroom where we had day without functioning water, and the general condition of the property. Be prepared to lug all suitcases up an entry ramp and then two flights of stairs. Also, Friday is market day and we needed to park our car 450meters away the night before (otherwise car is towed) which wasn’t ideal on the day of our checkout.
I don’t want to give a bad review but feel like I need to be honest so that others go in open to what this property is and isn’t.
