Mauterndorf is a cosy winter sports village with a historic village centre. Here, you can still get your bread from the bakery, the butcher offers a variety of regional specialities and the employees of restaurants still wear typical Austrian costumes. In Mauterndorf, every winter sportsman feels at home. Après-ski here takes place in a handful of bars.

Enjoy the quiet side valleys here in summer, walks where you can completely unwind and Alpine huts with home-made products. There are excellently marked mountain bike trails from light to heavy. Golfers play a round of golf here along the River Mur
