Still waiting!
We checked Thursday night stayed untill Sunday checkout time. Access was easy host responded back quickly. We had a family quinceanera Friday night. Within an hour of coming back to condo after quince there was a horrible wind storm that shook the entire 2nd floor of the condo and electricity went out Friday about 12AM and never went back on the rest of our stay. So Friday night till Sunday no electricity. I tried getting ahold of the host with calls, left messages and text and no response was every given back to my family. Saturday night my sister in her 50's fell down the stairs that have no hand rail in the pitch black dark (no electricity) an ambulance had to be called and she had to be escorted by ambulance to the nearest hospital with broken femur, dislocated knee, fracture ankle and left arm. My sister is still in the hospital and has had 2 surgeries and another in a few days she is still in McAllen when we are from San Antonio. WE HAVE STILL YET HEARD BACK FROM THE VRBO HOST.

Due to lack of communication we had to scramble to find where else to stay after being cancelled past the morning of our booked and confirmed stay.

Expectations Somewhat Met
We enjoyed our time together but would like to offer some feedback. -We have an ill family member that cannot be around mold/dust. We can tolerate normal disregard, but the amount of dust, grime and debris in easily spotted common areas was difficult to ignore and it seemed that this house has not been cleaned in depth for some time. -The biggest concern to us was the dirty return A/C vent on the top floor outside our bedroom doors. We took it amongst ourselves to clean up the A/C return vent. We also had to clean ceiling vents cabinets, walls, baseboards and especially floors/stairs in order to enjoy our Thanksgiving dinner. There were cobwebs on almost all corners or each room. The floors were filthy, the baseboards and walls as well. We even found a toenail clipping. We cleaned what we could without having the use of gloves, or much cleaning products. Since you did not provide us with much. The bathrooms were in desperate need of cleaning, from the clogged bathtub drains that would back up dirty water, to the grimy scummy shower curtain. Luckily we had a very nice neighbor nearby to lend us what we needed. You need: -Dishwashing Soap to wash dishes by hand. -Bathroom Toiletries such as body wash, shampoo etc (only 1 conditioner bottle provided). -Kitchen Necessities such as wine bottle opener, oven mitts, kitchen cloths. You maybe are unaware that your "cleaning crew" is not doing their job. We spent several hours cleaning. I feel our cleaning fee should be reimbursed.

Weekend Trip
The house was great, the pictures are very representative of the inside of the house. The neighborhood is not the nicest. Cats were all over the place and trying to come inside. Neighbors smoking right in front of the front door. Neighbors had party until 4 am with LOUD music and lots of yelling. Got no rest whatsoever, none of which is the owners fault just had a bad experience with the neighborhood.

Property has fantastic potential Upon walking in everything looked amazing We found out soon after that the master bathroom tub doesn’t drain fast, leaving you standing in a pool of water while showering. The second bedrooms king size bed was very comfortable, however EXTREMELY noisy with any and every movement made. It was quite annoying When looking for extra paper towels my Father found a half rotten apple underneath the sink. The ceiling fans were extremely dusty (Causing my oldest son a tough first night of sleep) which makes me think the cleaning company hired needs to be replaced. All and all the property has potential. But needs a few things fixed

I think it’s a new property on VRBO so it did need some things done but I’m sure those will be completed.
