“Well this hotel was quite a find, as was the town of Rockford. Wow, we had a great stay and the staff were amazingly helpful. The White Pine bike trail is about a block away. Beautiful trail. We only rode it about 26 miles, but what a gem to have in your town! Great hotel and we met friendly, happy people wherever we went.”

“Location was great which is why we chose it, but, unfortunately it is really a dump. No amenities to speak of. Had to ask for a wastebasket. Only one towel. There were two of us. No Kleenex or cups. Floor and closet had some debris on it. Closet was bare walls that someone started to paint. Paint drips on the floor. Bed was ok. On the soft side, but comfortable. Pillows were terrible. “Reservation was for King bed with sofa bed. Upon arrival there were rooms with King bed only. After waiting 20 minutes in lobby, we were assigned a room without a pull out sofa, which we need because there were 3 people. After 1 hour, they moved us at 11 pm to a new room with a King and sofa bed. Appears the Expedia reservation did not transfer fully to the hotel. Others base this issue as well”

“Stayed here last minute because of a volleyball tournament in Grand Rapids. Due to a remodel of some sorts they didn't have any breakfast just small muffins and donut holes of some kind. “I am in a wheelchair, and as such, my only complaint is the odd set up for persons with disabilities to enter. One must wheel down past the actual front doors, which are stair assessable only, then enter a bit of covered area (which was by far the only real dirty and/or broken down looking space), then ride the elevator up and enter on the other side of the main foyer from the front desk. “For others’s planning to book here, there’s a reason it’s cheap besides it being a motel and not a hotel. When I did arrive there, there was a double shooting that happened 2 hrs before. My girlfriend and I did decided to cancel after the night passed since we didn’t feel safe but we did get refunded for the stay we booked. “Lightning for the bathroom sink area was inadequate! The air conditioning did not maintain temperature well. The weighted cover was, in my opinion, way too warm. It helped emphasize the irregularities of the air conditioner. Food was good. Room was quiet. People were all nice.”
