Welcome to Cloudbreak Ridge! An old mountain home sitting on 35 acres that has been thoughtfully updated to maintain its rustic charm. With expansive mountain views that rival parkway overlooks, we hope you enjoy this special and peaceful property.

The Ridge is a 6 bedroom, 5 bath home perfectly situated on a 35-acre property to take advantage of the incredible mountain views. Experience true tranquility as you wake up to the sunrise over the mountains and hear the calming waterfalls that surround the property. With 35 acres, there is so much to explore including a trail to walk alongside the private creek. The home is equipped with a wrap around deck and outdoor fire pit that overlook the expansive views. An outdoor covered living space includes a gas grill, fireplace, tables and seating to enjoy dining outside.

Inside the Ridge, gas logs warm the cozy living room featuring floor-to-ceiling windows that frame the sweeping mountain views. With 4 queen beds and 6 twin beds, The Ridge comfortably sleeps a large group or family. Five bathrooms, each with a refreshing shower and hair dryer, make getting ready a breeze. The walk-out basement is a newly renovated space that encompasses a living area with a wet bar and ping pong table.

Please note there is another home located at the end of the driveway that could be occupied during your stay. Refer to our second listing (Cloudbreak Chalet) for additional details. Cloudbreak Chalet is a quaint one-bedroom one bath suite that can be booked in conjunction with Cloudbreak Ridge for additional space.

Although there is plenty to see on site, the Ridge is located around the corner from Lovers Leap, 3 miles from Primland, 4 miles from Meadows of Dan Village, 7 miles from Chateau Morisette Winery and Villa Appalachia Winery, and 30 minutes from downtown Floyd. The Blue Ridge Parkway is also a quick 10-minute drive from The Ridge. We hope you enjoy the peace you will most certainly find in this special place!

There are a few trail cams on the driveway. We like to see our furry visitors! On that note, please remember you are in bear country and we’ve seen plenty. Please be vigilant when walking around the property, and best to avoid walking at dusk and nighttime.

Hunting is not allowed on the property.

Although we hope you came to unplug and recharge, the Ridge has Starlink internet with smart TVs to stream your favorite shows.

The water can appear “cloudy” but is from air bubbles that dissipate. We typically bring our own drinking water.

The Ridge sits on the edge of a mountain ridge (the same ridge as Lovers Leap!) which gives those incredible views. However, note that the property itself is very flat and the driveway is in good condition. It is easy to drive in any car (winter weather conditions not considered). You can pull directly up to the Ridge for parking. Please take care to park appropriately as the Ridge and Chalet share the same driveway.
