Enjoyed our stay

Enjoyed our stay. House was very clean and well equipped. Crock pot was an added bonus after spending the day exploring the area. We would stay here again.

What an adorable place! The grounds were beautiful, it was so peaceful, and Shannon, the owner was so very nice. I can’t wait to go back with a group and rent the big house!

Property is great, hosts are even better!

Everything about the bunkhouse stay was easy and as expected based on the website. The area is great. Trails for our SxS accessible right from the ranch. What was unexpected was just how amazing Shannon and Buckshot were. They go above and beyond to make out-of-towners feel like family. They are the difference. You won’t regret spending time on their ranch as your home base while exploring the Meeker/Flat Tops area. Truly a gem.

Our trip

Besides the malfunction of the water heater and only 5 mins of hot water, the stay was great. Beautiful and quiet location. Shannon was great to talk to and started addressing the water heater issue right away. Would recommend.

What a Place!

We really enjoyed our stay here! It was so peaceful. The bed was comfy, the coffee pot was a welcome sight after the dinky hotel single packs! The house is adorable, had everything we needed, and again -- sooooo peaceful!!

Quiet slice of heaven

We love this place. Quiet a friendly and has a great feel to it. The hosts are great and accommodating. Drive up to trappers lake is probably the best scenery in Colorado. We will be back!

Just perfect!

We had this reservation to be in town for the Meeker Classic sheep dog trials. Messaged with Shannon multiple times before our visit for other hiking/outdoor activities for our days before the trials. Unfortunately, the trials were cancelled due to Covid but we really needed to escape for a while. We are NOT Ritz/Big hotel people. The bunk house was perfect for us. Very comfortable and clean. Made our meals in and dined just outside the bunk house. The ranch is peaceful and quiet but still a quick ride to town. Great star gazing at night. Walked the pasture to visit with the horses. Oasis in the beautiful land of Colorado high elevation sage lands. We also took a look at the ranch house rental and it is fantastic for larger groups. Bro and sis in law had a space in the RV parking that was close by for us to spend the time together. Hiked above Meeker, into the flat tops, Rifle Falls, river trail by Southfork campground. Coming back soon, we have found our "Meeker home away from home". Thank you for having us!!

First Elk Hunt

The Bar 7 bunkhouse was everything my husband and I needed and wanted for a cozy place to call home while in CO Elk hunting. The little bunkhouse was fully equipped for a pleasant stay very clean and fresh. Lovely kitchen and gas BBQ made for a relaxing time when we returned from our hunts. We will definitely try and reserve next year for another hunt. Shannon met us upon our arrival and was the most helpful. We loved waking up and arriving back to a working cattle ranch and two very friendly dogs :-) We are so happy we stumbled upon the Bar 7 and can not wait to return! Thank you again, The Clouds
