Welcome to Lahusage Landing, our 2-story lakeside getaway in Mentone, Alabama, located on the beautiful banks of Lake Lahusage and the Little River. This charming home combines comfort and natural beauty with spacious living areas, a fully stocked kitchen, and plenty of room to unwind. Enjoy breathtaking lake views from the large porches, or spend time in the game room with a ping pong table and piano. With access to the lake, private dock, and cozy bedrooms, this home is the perfect place for both relaxation and adventure. For an exciting outdoor experience, you can kayak out to the Lahusage Dam or Goose Island – a large rock with a pine tree that is famous in our little town. It’s the perfect spot for kayaking, picnicking, or even jumping off!

The round dining table in the living room seats four, while the picnic table on the screened-in porch offers seating for 4-6, ideal for meals with a view.

The fully stocked kitchen includes a fridge, electric stove/oven, microwave, and all necessary cookware, dinnerware, and glassware. Start your morning with a coffee from the Keurig coffee maker, complete with a starter pack of K-cups.

➤ Bedroom 1 (Main Floor)

Enjoy lake and river views from the king-sized bed, with fresh linens and an attached full bathroom featuring a shower.

➤ Bathroom 1 (Main Floor/En Suite)

Includes a shower with essentials provided like shampoo, conditioner and body wash.

This cozy queen bedroom also offers an attached full bathroom, perfect for those seeking privacy and comfort.

A detached finished basement (the stairs and access are on the exterior of the home), with twin beds, a sleeper sofa (double), a ping pong table, and a piano. This space includes a full bathroom with a tub/shower combo and a mini fridge.

Attached to bedroom 3/game room, this bathroom features a tub/shower combo.

Convenient grocery stores are located nearby in Summerville, GA, including Walmart and Ingles, or you can head to Fort Payne, AL for more options.

Wildflower Café is a cozy spot serving Southern comfort food with a twist, offering a relaxed, rustic atmosphere. My personal favorite is the tomato pie—grab one to-go and enjoy it while watching the sunset at Brow Park. It’s a perfect pairing!

A quaint café known for delicious breakfast and lunch options. A great place to stop for a casual bite.

• Cloudland Canyon State Park – 35 min drive

Explore one of Georgia’s most scenic state parks with hiking, picnicking, and stunning views.

Most cars can easily access the home and nearby areas. There is no public transportation, so bringing your own vehicle or renting one is preferred. While Uber and Lyft are available, getting a ride may not always be easy.

➤ Lahusage Landing has neighbors to the left and right, however, you can not see the neighbors from the home or porches.
➤ There are 2 kayaks that are available for $25/kayak for the duration of their stay.
➤ The Bedroom 3/Game Room is located in the detached finished basement. The stairs and access are on the exterior of the home.
➤ Starter kitchen and bathroom essentials are provided, but guests will need to supply disposables and restock items for the duration of their stay.
➤ Exceeding maximum occupancy is not permitted.
➤ No third-party bookings (must book under your own account).
➤ No parties, events, smoking, vaping, marijuana use, or open flames (candles, incense, sage).
➤ Quiet hours begin at 10:00 pm. Please keep noise to a minimum.
➤ No pets are allowed.

1. Guests acknowledge that they will keep their noise level to a minimum after 10:00 pm; please be respectful of the neighbors.
2. No parties or events allowed.
**If small events are allowed: We welcome small, calm gatherings such as baby showers, family birthdays, and similar events. However, all events must be pre-approved in advance. Please provide details, including the number of guests and duration, for consideration. Large parties, loud gatherings, or disruptive events are strictly prohibited. Guests are responsible for ensuring all attendees respect house rules and neighborhood quiet hours. Unapproved events may result in cancellation of the reservation and additional fees.
3. Guest must provide us with a valid working phone number & guests listed on the reservation must report to us within 2 hours from the time of arrival if anything in regards to cleanliness does not meet their standards so we can help address the situation as soon as possible.
4. NO SMOKING or use of fire permitted in the rental; guest acknowledges that no `smoking` includes the use of vape pens and marijuana and `use of fire` includes the lighting of candles, incense, or sage. There will be a $200 charge per day of reservation if this rule is not followed.
5. There can not be any more than the allowed number of guests in or on the property at any one time, violation could lead to the immediate removal of all guests without a refund.
6. Late check-out fee of $50 (if not authorized) applies for check-outs after 11:00 am. We`re sorry we have to charge this but we pay our housekeepers based on the agreed-upon checkout time and if they are unable to clean we still have to pay them.
7. Guests who make reservations for over 30 days must sign our standard lease agreement and agree to a background check before check-in (it will be provided before check-in).
8. As part of our commitment to maintaining a clean and comfortable environment for all guests, we require a midterm cleaning for reservations lasting 30 days or longer. The midterm cleaning will take place on the 15th day of your reservation. This cleaning is mandatory and is designed to ensure the continued cleanliness and hygiene of the property.
9. The cleaning fee for the mandatory mid-stay clean will be deducted from your security deposit or through Airbnb resolutions if you booked via Airbnb.
10. No pets are allowed.
11. Excessively dirty units will incur an additional cleaning fee and will be evidenced with photos.

We had an amazing time in this cabin. The hosts were extremely helpful and easy to work with. The home was clean and exactly as described (maybe even better!). It was easy to find and was centrally located for getting around the Mentone area. We booked the house based on the photos of the screened-in porch, and we weren't disappointed. We stayed out there for hours each day and night. We didn't have kids on our trip, but I think it would be great for them, too.
