NEW! Designer decorated cabin, recently remodeled with SPA STYLE SHOWER. It features wooded views, a hot tub, a gas fireplace, a fire pit, smart TVs, and fiber WIFI. All are just 1/2 mile from Cloudmont Ski Resort & 5 minutes from DeSoto Falls. Whether you are looking to relax and unwind or go on an adventure, this spacious yet cozy-feeling retreat has something for everyone to enjoy! VALUE PRICED BUT INCLUDES:



A NEW SPA SHOWER has just been installed!

- Pets- 25 pounds or less allowed - but no labs or retrievers due to shedding                                - spacious living room and kitchen with gas fireplace

- Smart TVs with fiber internet -Keurig and drip coffee makers are supplied                                  - Full-size hot Tub with privacy                                                                                                                           -Wrap-around porch with charcoal grill, rocking chairs, and outdoor furniture

- Outdoor firepit (wood supplied except in summer due to supply constraints)

- Locally commissioned artwork and designer-decorated interior.                                                          - There is also a loft with a sleeper sofa/Futon and work area. The steps are VERY steep. Make sure children are supervised and not recommended for senior citizens.                                 - 6 Acres of peaceful wooded surroundings (common to see wildlife at dusk and dawn)





Please Note: This cabin is close to our sister cabin, Happy Hollow, next door. Larger groups or families can rent both for more fellowship and fun. No parties or events. In the fall, be aware that acorns can fall. We suggest you not park under an oak tree. We are not responsible for falling acorns.

Update: Exterior cameras are in use at the cabin for your protection and the protection of the property owners. They only monitor the parking area and a RING Doorbell. No cameras are invading your privacy.

The cabin was very cozy. We really loved that it was decorated for Christmas. May I suggest that you provide a pair of scissors for future renters? Also, the auto air freshener did not seem to have anything coming out of it. Thank you for your hospitality.

We had a lovely stay at this cabin! We will definitely consider returning. Owners were very thorough with directions and details. Kitchen was supplied extremely well. I like to cook so that meant a lot. Highly recommend for couples or families. There was plenty of space.

The cabin was so close to all Mentone has to offer-but also such a peaceful and relaxing place. The furniture was very comfortable. We enjoyed the use of the fire pit, rockers, and hot tub. Day trip to Lake Guntersville-Chattanooga within 45 mins and Desoto State Park a must see. Everything we needed-Great get away trip.

There were lightbulbs out, and needed replacing.Bed linens we old and then. The only reason mentioned is on your website the word Luxurious was used. The tv in the master bedroom was dusty and had been taped together.All in all we had a wonderful, private stay and would stay here again.

Very happy with our choice of rental home

We were so pleased to be able to stay in this lovely and nicely appointed rental. It was really nice to come back to every night after we explored the area. Hosts were easy to get a hold of and we had no issues with our stay. I would recommend this for anyone who wants a peaceful stay in the mountains.

Wow this place is amazing

If your looking for a great cabin rental this is exactly what your looking for. This place is just absolutely amazing. Hot tub, fire pit and bbq. Great wrap around deck quiet and peaceful. This place is just perfect. We will definitely be back.

Pure Mountain Bliss

I almost don't want to write this review because I don't want the secret to get out about this area. It's amazing!! Location wise you are on a dead end road, so there is little traffic. There is a stream nearby where you hear spring peeper frogs singing. You are surrounded by these awesome boulders and large beautiful trees. We took our dog for a walk down the road past the girls camp and to the ski area. Great little walk. When you pull up, it's a charming log cabin with wide porches and a perfect fire pit. Hidden on the back porch is a hot tub where we soothed sore hiking muscles and relaxed. Inside the cabin is decorated with neat pieces like a spinning wheel. The kitchen is well appointed and has everything you need to cook and especially make a killer cup of coffee. The fireplace worked great and kept us very cozy on some chilly nights. The shower is huge and has the best water pressure I've ever experienced. There is a gorgeous live edge kitchen table we enjoyed eating on. The sofas were comfy and there was just the right amount of space for us. And being able to bring our beloved pup made it the place perfect. You are also only minutes away from charming downtown Mentone (the market has some delicious frozen casseroles and soups,) some of the best hiking trails in the mountains (Desoto State Park,) and a really cool canyon on top of the mountain! We also day tripped to Cathedral Caverns and it was well worth it. Would not hesitate to stay here again!

Loved the cabin in the woods

We had a great time, the accommodations were perfect, we had everything we needed. It was so close to Mentone and yet so quiet and private. We would definitely stay there again!

Just what we needed

My husband and I wanted to get away for a few days. Hoots Hideaway was just what we needed. Cabin was clean, bed was very comfortable & hot tub was a nice bonus. Address provided took us right to the cabin. We didn’t use any of the cooking utensils, since I wanted a break from that too, but there were plenty of supplies available. Cabin is near Desoto Falls. Will definately be back!

Cabin needs complete updating..bathrooms have no toilet for ADA COMPLIANCE..Step over shower concerning for seniors..poor lighting throughout cabin especially kitchen and living area..dusty mildew smell..bedroom linens old need to be replaced, blankets have holes .oven needs cleaning..your cleaning group needs to be replaced .. .
