“Did have to request our room to be cleaned after we left hotel in afternoon, but everything else was great. ”

“The location was convenient to campus, parking was great, and we felt very safe! The staff was friendly and helpful!”

“Slow dinner service and we were refused a table for brunch without a reservation, even though we were staying at the hotel. ”

“My first day at the Moxy I went down to tell the front desk that my toilet knob was broke and I couldn't flush with it. They said they would fix it right away. They never came to fix it and so I sent down again on Saturday. They promised they would fix it ASAP. They still never came to my room so for Friday-Sunday, I had to stick my hand in the toilet tank to flush. Not ideal at all.”

“Peaceful and tranquil. Like traveling back in time when hotels weren’t high rise buildings. The trails and views are amazing. Comfy beds, clean. We stayed in Sassafras. Only thing missing in the room was maybe a dresser to put some folded clothes in. ”

“The room we had had a really really old tub and toilette room. It wasn’t as described in the pictures. The room was smelling bad, like humid and old. The only updated thing was the bad and tv.”

“There was no shower nozzle,there was no tub plug to hold the water to take a bath due to no shower nozzle...cigarette burn in the bedspread...he said his computer had no record of an invisible person because my name was not printed in the email confirmation...he was not in office at 11:59 pm to chg rooms..the next morning I ask for a refund for I had to take a spit bath using the washcloths.and he refused the refund”

“For a nightly rate of $515 it would have been nice to have housekeeping services for the two nights. We were out of our room for 12 plus hours so by the time we got back to realize no one even attempted to clean the room or bring fresh towels it was too late to complain. ”

“Room was very clean. I will stay at an Avid hotel whenever possible. The staff was nice but couldn’t help with the WiFi. Breakfast was good.”

“This property closed its restaurant/bar and did not offer free breakfast as advertised because of "low occupancy." I was not informed and seriously doubt there was a rate reduction of any kind.”

“Traveled with newborn and the ac was out. No technician on site and would have to travel from another town. Couldn’t stay in the room and all rooms were booked. Would not recommend.”

“The room was dirty. Mold in bathroom on ceiling. Exhaust fan broken in bathroom. Room was very humid after shower due to no exhaust fan. Found trash on shelf in closet. Window looked like had dried dead bug on it. ”
