Hollywood Beach Oceanfront 12th Floor Apartment

Beautiful apartment, 1 bedroom with a king bed, 1 full bathroom, living room with a queen sleeper sofa and a great view towards the ocean, kitchen fully equipped, electric blackout shades, 2 large heated pools, 2 gyms, central A/C, conference room, Concierge and valet parking 24/7, security service, Free high-speed WIFI, and 2 Smart TVs.
Beach chairs and Beach Umbrella, linens, face towels, bath towels, beach towels, and a two rolling coolers. Sleep 2. Maximum 2 Adults allowed.
Hairdryer, iron, ironing board, blender, laundry room on each floor with cards to load money. Laundry is a few steps away outside the unit.
A café downstairs by the lobby in the second building offering all sorts of drinks, breakfast, and lunch items while offering free delivery to your unit, the pool, or the beach.

Additional fees:
Extra $30 for Fob (electronic key) at check in only. Fob is used to open common areas and doors around the building. (1 per two adults) This is not included in the price. (Has to be paid to the management office upon arrival.)

The Tides is located near Aventura Mall, Hallandale Broadwalk, and The Casino Gulf-stream...The building is located on Hollywood Beach which is a few doors from the Westin Diplomat. This is a full amenities building on the beach. Close to dining and shopping. Minutes from Historic Downtown Hollywood is known for its charming streets, fine dining, cafés, bars, art galleries, and special events.
10 minutes from Aventura Mall, The Galleria in Ft. Lauderdale.
Approximately one mile from the Hollywood Boardwalk, just a 10 minute walk.
5 minutes to new Gulfstream Mall and Casino, shops, restaurants!
15 minutes to The Hard Rock Seminole Casino, less than 5 minutes to world class golf. Close to Ft. Lauderdale/Hollywood International Airport (just 15 minutes drive).

Can't beat the location for access to beach. There were two pools and plenty of food options nearby. Hollywood beach boardwalk is about 40 minutes walking distance but very doable. Overall we had a very enjoyable stay!

Confusing and Disconnected

Our door did not lock. They replaced with a key lock the day we got there. Once locked, you needed the key to unlock the door even- from inside. They never updated keypad. Honestly, the check in process was very difficult. Between locating the individual who manages the property with a large building to going to the administration office, waiting in a long line and paying for the key fob (30 per person/ parent, non refundable needed to operate the elevators and move throughout the condo to access anything), valet parking pass (100), wrist bands. This is a large condo with many different owners and contracted property manages within. Front desk staff is not affiliated with the condo owners. It’s all very interconnected. Owner never responded to me twice when I reached out. On the plus side the beach is pretty nice and it is right next to the property. Great view of sunset. Neat to see lizards. The pools were nice.

Great for the price

Great affordability. Check in/ having to pay an extra 30 for every 2 people is silly and a bit unnecessary. (More the property than the listing). Very uncomfortable furniture. Amazing ocean view with easy access to the beach

Girls weekend

Very nice and clean. Elevators are tiny but didnt have any issues.will definitely stay again.Absolutely everything you need in the unit. Just bring yourself and grab groceries. You wont be disappointed.

Pictures in listing were accurate.Nice pool and Pool area. Plenty of lounge chairs.Twin bed was actually a wheeled flip down cot.Mattresses on the Sofa sleeper and Queen bed in the Master were God awful uncomfortable and in need of replacing.

Mostly Great Stay

Overall, this was a very nice stay. The location was great--beach access and proximity to restaurants and the "broadwalk" were a plus.The unit itself was "pretty much" as described, and the balcony view was the best part of the stay. Beach chairs, towels and even suntan lotion were provided. The kitchen had an array of pots, pans, and dishes, though some of the small appliances in the cupboard (e.g., blender) were non-functioning.Some suggestions for improving the experience: 1. Replace the two fluorescent light bulbs in the kitchen that were out. We were there for an entire month and reported this within days of arriving and no response on this. The kitchen was very dim. (We couldn't replace these ourselves due to the positioning and plastic ceiling tiles.)2. Replace the chairs on the balcony. The plastic chairs weren't all that comfortable and the third chair had exposed screw end that could tear clothing or scratch.3. Add some lamps to the couch area. The one lamp in the center of the couch was more like an inquisition light. 4. The faceplate on one of the electrical sockets next to the bed was loose and the charging on that socket appeared to be intermittent. The unit was nice, but a bit tired and dated. It could use a makeover, including replacing the backless benches at the dining room table with chairs with backs.

GREAT if all you want is a beach and pool

The unit itself was very nice (the bed was a bit uncomfortable, but that's subjective). However, unless you have a car I would not recommend staying here -there are no nice neighborhoods, charming streets, shops or restaurants within walking distance -you are literally surrounded by miles and miles of condos - and that's it. Check in was awful - we waited close to an hour to get in, and the gentleman who met us was very nice, but his English was limited to caused some mix ups. Then we had to go to a separate business office to pay 30 for each fob AND we had to wear a wrist band 24/7 to get us pool access. It felt tacky going out for a really nice meal wearing a wrist band like we had just come from a water park. The building itself has seen better days - it has three small elevators, but only two worked most days so be prepared to literally wait in line for several minutes to get one. Also, while we were there the building was testing its fire alarm four days for hours at a time - yeah, that was pleasant.Granted, we should have done our homework better about the location so that's on us, but the fact that there was nothing within walking distance (other than the beach) was a real bummer.

Great location

The condo was great. Two issues were addressed and corrected right away. Walk to the beach was right out the door!!! The only negative thing I can think of is having to wear a wrist band the whole stay. There is a great pizza spot right across the street. Also a coffee shop. A Walmart and a Publix are close and in walking distance. Condo was clean! Would stay here again.

The deadbolt lock on the door isn’t, enough security, the black out blinds don’t give 100% blackout.

The mattress is very hard and sheet covers weren’t clean and to be rewashed, also the blackout blinds in the bedroom isn’t completely blackout with some blinds are missing in the living room. The tv would not work in the bedroom because it seems the dvr would not allow the live tv to work in the evening only smh , Parking was good, staff is very friendly and Mr Marcello did respond quickly to everything i asked him to care off 100%, being respectful i understand some things are out of his control.

Great Experience!

The photos show exactly what the property looks like. The check in process was easy and fast. The property manager is super responsive. You can text and call and he gets right back to you. Our only suggestion is to get a more comfortable sleeper sofa. The amenities (pool, easy access to the ocean) were great!! We had a amazing time at the Taylor Swift concert!! Trip of a lifetime! :)

Definitely a 5 star

First of all this property is beautiful and it looks just like it does in the listing. From the time I checked in, until the time I checked out, every thing was perfect. Miguel showed me to my room and he also let me know about the certain gadgets that were there as far as which remote goes to television and that was nice. Anytime I had a question the owner responded within a few minutes and that was a plus! I will definitely be backthatthwonderful trip

Everything was great!

Just that simple. Great apartment, full window ocean view as you walk in. Balcony, pools, chairs, umbrellas and coolers provided in room. Owner was responsive. Overall everything was wonderful. Just be aware that it's the 12th floor of a big building so elevators can take a bit.

Nice beachfront property

Communication with owner was outstanding. She never missed a call or a text. Went out of her way to fix small little things that came up. However, for the price, there were some small things that could’ve been updated. The locks on the front and side door were flimsy. The paint in the kitchen was peeling and could definitely use to be repainted. Other than those small details, it’s a super nice place. Martha is a fantastic host.
