It started off well — management kindly allowed me to check in early for a funeral, which I appreciated.Unfortunately, it went downhill fast. The house was dingy, not very clean, with no sheets on the beds. The grill was in terrible condition, and the air conditioning was programmed to reset to 78 no matter how many times we turned it down, making it impossible to sleep. The worst part was the management. The next morning they messaged me, saying cameras showed more than two people at the property and demanded 50 per visitor — even though the home is advertised to sleep 17 and only two of us stayed overnight. Of course family came by after a funeral; that’s exactly why I booked a larger house. When I explained that I would not be paying fees that were never disclosed, they continued sending aggressive messages. What shocked me most was when they sent a snide, insulting comment implying that my family was “too poor” to pay their made-up charges. This was incredibly uncalled for — especially given that we were grieving and had just buried my beloved Mammaw. The truth is, I could have easily paid their arbitrary fees, but this was never about the money. It was about principle, and how dare they insult my family during such a painful time.Do not rent from these people.
