    The Space:

    Watch the sun come up over the neighboring cornfield each morning at this beautifully situated home in Mills River. Whether your plans involve hiking, fishing, or driving the Blue Ridge Parkway, this is a wonderful home base for your adventures in Western North Carolina. This single-story home enjoys a particularly lovely setting in small-town Mills River. Here in town, you'll have easy access to local breweries, restaurants, and shops within a mile or two. When you're ready to get out and explore, you can meet up with the Blue Ridge Parkway at the North Carolina Arboretum (10 miles), make a day of it in downtown Hendersonville (10 miles) or Asheville (19 miles), or treat yourself to some of the nation's best hiking, mountain biking, tubing, and kayaking nearby. Spend a morning here and you'll quickly understand why the homeowner's family has resided on this road for over 200 years. Step out into the spacious backyard, watch the fog blanket the cornfield before quickly dissipating, and set the table on the deck for an alfresco breakfast. In the evenings, you can light the gas grill for summer barbecues, join your kids for games of tag in the fenced yard, and roast marshmallows around the firepit as the sun begins to set. The home's interior is comfortable and inviting, offering a light-filled living room, an adjacent den with a smart TV and Roku, and a well-equipped eat-in kitchen. Sleep soundly in three bedrooms and enjoy the comforts of central air conditioning, a private washer/dryer, and complimentary WiFi. Things to Know -Check-in time: 4:00 p.m. -Check-out time: 10:00 a.m. -All guests shall abide by our good neighbor policy and shall not engage in illegal activity. -Quiet hours are from 10:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m. -No smoking is permitted anywhere on the premises. - -All properties comes with a starter kit to assist you on your first day before having to go out and purchase additional items. This includes: dish sponge, dish soap, dishwasher packet, laundry packet. Bathrooms will have 2 rolls of toilet paper per bathroom, shampoo, conditioner and hand soap. This property is managed by VueStay Vacations.

Very Good except a few small things....

Overall, very Happy with our stay! Very clean. Only concerns were moderate ants in several rooms. Would have liked additional paper goods. Ran out of TP, Kleenex, and paper towels very quickly.

Awesome family getaway!

Loved this place! Clean, great view and the fall colors were AMAZING! I drove a 2wd pilot and I was fine but, I grew up in this kind of area and know the drill. 4wd may be best. We came after Helene and this area was fortunate. The towns are open and people are great. The fam LOVES WNC and this place was perfect to get away!

A true retreat for stargazers

The family loved this place! So peaceful! We spent every morning on the deck with coffee and every evening at the fire pit. Took the telescope out to look at the moon; it was so cool. The kids played in the Yard/driveway/forest at the house. Cool towns and tons of hikes nearby with some really cool waterfalls. The home is cozy, stylish, and full of thoughtful touches that made us feel right at home. It was so quiet that we felt like we had the whole forest to ourselves. Can’t wait to go back hopefully in the fall to see the colors!! Two-wheel drive rav4 made it up with little issue.

Thanksgiving Stay

Please read listing thoroughly when booking. House is far from most things, and town. Our cars did make it, but trucks with 4x4 are best as listing does state. I imagine a truck would be the only way in snow. Fortunately, we did not have snow during our stay. Very quiet and peaceful with beautiful views. There is one issue with cleanliness which is why I gave two stars, but I’m sure that issue can be resolved.

We were so happy with this home! We were four people (two adults and two kids) and the space was perfect for what we needed. We were basically only at the home in the evenings after being out all day- however it was spacious enough for us all to relax and unwind. The three bedrooms were great sizes and very comfortable with more than enough bedding/pillows/towels etc. The home was extremely clean and well maintained. The kitchen was large and had everything we needed and more in terms of kitchen items. We loved the location- we were a couple minutes to ingles and several breweries. It took us just a little over 20 minutes to get to dupont and pisgah to hike every day. We didn’t spend much time outside in the back- however there is a nice fire pit with chairs that looked inviting. The vacasa staff was super prompt in responding to any outreach and the checking in and out was quick and easy. We will definitely book again on our next trip!

Beautiful but hard on a vehicle

You have to have 4wheel drive or you’re not making it to the cabin. Cabin view is amazing. Lots and lots of bumps and dirt/gravel roads. Internet is spotty at best. But who goes to a mountain cabin for internet. Needs a couple larger skillets. Appliances are older but work. Was very hard on my autistic brother coming up and down.
