Hotel a Minburn

“Our only complaint was the limited toilet paper. When we arrived to the motel, all we had was about a fourth of a roll left and no stock of extras. However, when a staff member asked if we needed anything the next morning, she was very quick to give us a new roll. We enjoyed the Roku that was provided in the room. Parking was adequate and right outside our motel room. The location of the motel was conveniently right next to Casey’s and just a quick walk down the street from the town amenities....

“Very clean and quiet. Staff was friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay here again whenever I’m through the Des Moines area!”

“The room was comfortable and clean. Pillows and bedding was soft and comfortable. The breakfast buffett was ok for the dry goods and prepackaged products. But the cooked food didn't look appetizing. The night time desk person was apologized for not being very friendly when we asked for the wifi password that was not written in our key folder. He was really busy?? The parking lot has many parking spots available, but has a lot of curbs if you are pulling as long trailer. Overall the hotel,...

“It is a tired old 1950's motel that has had the rooms updated - very adequate. The outside and surrounding area is worn out and industrial. We did have plenty of towels, but there was no comfortable chair in our room and there are very few options for breakfast in this town. Overall - it was clean inside and adequate for sleeping but is not somewhere I would stay unless I needed to be in that specific area. ”

“The room that I was in had an oder that would not leave even after spraying a can of lysol. The sealant around the tub and faucet had mold that needed to be addressed also.”

“The staff was very nice and helpful. The room was clean and the entrance was also kept well. For the price, I thought it was overall very good. The outside of the hotel needed a lot of work. Weeds, dead grass and overgrown grass with weeds, and also the pavement was broken up here and there. ”

“The sheets were clean but not much else. Bathroom was full of mold, faucets installed backwards, rough towels, cracked and peeling cabinets.”

“I liked the rooms. Desk staff was ok. Housekeeping staff and breakfast staff were great! Give them a raise!”

“Kitchen staff were extremely nice and were busy keeping the food area clean and restocked. There was a long line of customers waiting to get checked in-- so that was a bit disappointing. My friend wasn't even able to get into her room until later that night. The pool area was great. An elevator was broken during our stay, and since the hotel was completely full of guests that was a challenge.”

“Ok, not the best not the worst. Breakfast was light, AC was slow, but great for the price paid.”
