Hotel a West Des Moines

“The hotel overbooked and we were not given a room. We were sent to another hotel that was cheaper than the room we paid for at the Drury and we’re not refunded the difference in the amount of the room.”

“First room assignment smelled of urine. Was granted a new room. Was not aware of 75.00 pet charge on Expedia. Knowing that I would have booked elsewhere”

“Staff and services were all excellent. No breakfast included but there are lots of restaurants nearby if you don’t want anything at the on site restaurant/breakfast buffet. The facilities are up to date and clean. There is plenty to parking as well.”

“Nice, basic long-term stay hotel. In a very nice area right off the interstate. Was built fairly recently so it was a little more run down than I expected in some areas. Part of the counter laminate in my room was coming off and the walls/stairs were dinged up. Fitness room has a couple treadmills, an elliptical and functional trainer/cable machine with weight stacks but there was no bench, dumbbells, or mats which was disappointing. “Booked two rooms. Both rooms were out dated. Our first night tried to take a shower and no hot water. Called down to hotel front desk and told them we did not have hot water the guy at the desk was rude. We asked to be moved to a new room which he did but he was very rude. New room did have hot water but the mattress in both rooms were hard they need to update the hotel.”

“We called down to front desk around 7am to request house keeping for sheets and towels. The gal said ok and took our room number. When we arrived back to the room 12 hours later, nothing had been touched! We spoke to the employee on duty at the front desk and she had several excuses and wasn't apologetic. She said in order for us to get fresh towels, we'd have to bring down the dirty ones. Bedding wasn't even mentioned. Back to the room we go and gather up towels and pillow cases. She...

“Bed was a little firmer than I like. The shower door didn't stay closed without sticking a washcloth in it and was missing a handle.. the staff was very nice and helpful. The hotel was clean and well maintained. Breakfast was decent. The basic hotel breakfast. Pool was nice a little chilly but my grandkids had fun in it.”

“We loved the lobby area and bar service. However, the lighting in the room was very inadequate . You could barely see in the restroom.”

“We stopped here during a cross-country road trip from California. The hotel looked clean, though the location is a bit unusual and felt very secluded with no people around. We stayed in a suite, but the couch bed was super uncomfortable, came with only one pillow, and had a very thin blanket. Other than that, the stay was just okay. We will not be staying here again.”
