“Parking was in the street or behind the building- you can only park for 3 hours at a time. On our last day of our stay we had to have our car removed at 0830 because Nevada City was having an event- which meant we had to leave early. There was no communication from staff about this. The room was very expensive for no ice or coffee for the room and no parking convenience. ”

“Dirty mirror with smudged hand prints, broken closet door, peeling wallpaper, holes in the wall, no towel racks, hair in bathroom. Trash outside the door. Old ragged carpet. Awful place. Toilet so low it looked like it belonged in a kindergarten . Should be updated and remodeled. Location lovely and close to town.”

“Breakfast eggs were very dry and barely warm, sausages were also dry. Coffee was as good as paint remover. Beds seem to be hard every stay here. ”

“Very nice and quaint hotel. Nice rooms and knowledgeable staff. The hotel’s Key Card System did NOT work though. Staff said Management was aware of the issue but didn’t care. Had to use key card to go up or down the elevator or, walk all the way around the hotel. Sometimes key card would work in elevator but not on room door. Extremely annoying to have to get new/reprogrammed keys several times a day; sometimes after getting all the way to your room and denied access. Then you find there’s a...

“This was our second time staying here, we came out for my husband's disc colf tournament. I loved it even more this time around. The happy hour is sooo nice, snacks drinks so great. Breakfast was great. Our room was so cute. It was just my husband and myself perfect space for 2. We were really bummed the hot tub wasn't opened, but they have a sauna we used. Thanks for having us. We will be back.”

“I had been wanting to stay at The Pines Inn and Cottages for some time, so I worried my expectations may be inflated - but I moved my bags in and never wanted to leave. 🌷 There are so many room details that make it easy to be away from home, the bed is so S-O-F-T, and the grounds are magic waiting to happen. It was lovely in early spring, but I can imagine what an amazing place the Inn grounds become later in the year. I cannot wait to reurn. 🍃”

“Oldest hotel, amazingly restored. Has its quirks which makes it even more intriguing to stay there. We have stayed here before and loved it even more this time. Staff is amazing and makes your stay welcoming and comfortable.”

“The room was nice but only had a space heater so it was pretty cold with snow still on thr ground...had a wall unit for a/c took about 15 20 mins for hot water in the shower an the floor was all tile so twice as cold ... had to buy some towels an a blanket . would i stay there again probably not , had some people fighting at like 1 am so that woke me up too, parking lot pretty small an no assigned parking had to park pretty far away from my room couldn't keep an eye on my car but it was alright ”

“Bathroom door jammed & lock is broken. Mold on shower curtain. Love the location that's is one minute walk across to Alta Sierra Country Club. ”

“Clean room, beautiful furnitures”

“The room was clean. Furniture sparse, but in good condition. Bed was comfortable and the bedding clean. Heating and AC unit was adequate for the size of the room. Bathroom was worn, but clean, and included a new shower unit with hot water on demand. All and all a good road stop inn for a couple of nights stay.”
