Hotel vicino a Minster Church of St Mary the Virgin - Reading

“This place feels like an odd mix — some aspects feel like a hip boutique hotel while others seem a bit “budget.” There is no actual lobby or dedicated hotel staff in the evening, so you collect your key from the large bar on the ground floor. The rooms are nicely decorated and well appointed (eg, nice bathroom fixtures, Nespresso machine in room), though quite dark. Good location in historic city centre. Nice touches like a refrigerator on the corridor that has bottles of cold filtered water.”

“I am completing this form from Italy, the next step on our trip. Unfortunately, this site wants me to fill out the review in Italian, which I cannot do. There doesn't seem to be a way of changing that to English. Premier Suites in Reading gave us a very large apartment, well equipped, pleasant staff and good value. If you are driving, getting to the hotel involves a hellish one-way system and the entrance is not well sign-posted for the car park. You will be seeing a lot of Reading, several...

“We stayed at this hotel for one night, coming from London for the reading Festival. We arrived around 12 pm so the rooms were not ready but we could check-in and leave our luggage. The location is fantastic if you're arriving by train as it is right in front of the station. We were back later and were given the room key. Our room was quiet, had a very nice decor and modern appliances. The check-out was at 12 pm, and we really enjoyed that we could sleep a bit longer than the average 11 am check...

“Not worth the price”

“Terrible experience. We were greeted by a male receptionist (Sundeep was his name I believe). He asked for the name of the booking, then gave us the room keys. We went to the room and fell asleep at 10 pm. At around 10.40 pm the same receptionist came to our room and woke us up. He knocked and shouted that he does not see the reservation. My mother asked if this could wait till the morning. He said no. Half-asleep, I dressed up and showed the Expedia confirmation. He nodded and went away....

“It was just ok. Location was excellent for us which is a big plus but let down by poor communications (no response to phone calls or emails at all). Check in instructions were sent, but after check in time. I wanted to confirm the arrangements upfront as it was getting to the stage where I thought I would need to arrange alternative accommodation. In addition, the flat itself was frankly, filthy. Dirty toilet, shower, all work surfaces covered in dust. It is a really small place so would...

“Very small. It was so dirty I didn't even stay there. Trying to book in and the owner was rude ”

“This is the second time I have stayed here, and we will be back. Staff are really lovely and very helpful, rooms have everything you need, are very clean and comfortable. We have stayed in other hotels nearby that are more expensive and nowhere near as good. Would highly recommend.”
