“This was the best hotel stay in my whole life! To start the property I believe is a refurbished historic ryokan so it definitely has the charm of a traditional stay while being luxury appointed ! I cannot speak better about staff here they were so helpful they went out of there way to make sure we had everything , greet us, open doors, offer us umbrellas on rainy days! “We loved this hotel and its location in Kyoto. We walked to many attractions from the hotel as it is very convenient for tourists. Some of the nearby dining was fantastic and less than a two minute walk from the hotel. Hotel was extremely clean and the staff were very helpful and friendly. Highly recommend. ”

“This was the perfect hotel for me and my teenaged son. We were close to a lot of the sites I wanted to see and a quick bus ride from the heart of Kyoto that he wanted to experience. The hotel itself was charming and spacious. Especially after spending a few days in Tokyo, the room felt massive. Two double beds, a living area with TV, separate WC and separate tub/shower. The staff was enthusiastic and cheerful. I can’t recommend this place highly enough! Superb hotel!”

“The room was very spacious with a separate living room and kitchenette. The beds were Japanese style and very low to the ground so be aware if you have trouble getting up. The location was perfect and the staff were very helpful. We would stay here again.”

“My daughters and I loved our stay in Kabin MInamiza. It is in an excellent location, close to many restaurants and attractions in Kyoto. The beds are comfortable and the rooms are nice. We would return there.”

“The spa room was lovely - but beware - we paid for 3 people - but because one of the beds is a futon, they charge you over $100USD per day to make the bed (and you can’t ask them not to). Not only was this misleading - they didn’t clean each day (left garbage, didn’t wipe anything down, etc). Property is lovely, but customer service is terrible.”

“Fantastic location within walking distance to the main area of Gion and streets of cherry blossoms without the crowd. The room is so spacious and great for families with a baby or toddler. Our baby was able to play in the tatami room. A cot and high chair was also provided to us free of charge. The kitchenette and washing machine / dryer enabled us to feed our baby and do our washing too without any stress. The hotel is approximately 10 minutes from Kyoto Station and a taxi ride should not...
