“We have stayed here before and received the usual warm welcome from the owner. The location is to the east of Carrick town, on a side road set back from the M4. The accommodation is quiet though. Bedrooms are cosy and homely.. A good breakfast in the dining room is ensured. Plenty of safe parking space.”

We felt right at home and the hostess, Kate was remarkable in how she went above and beyond in order to meet our needs. This is the true Ireland in an old, historic house in a quiet country area. “I was expecting much better for what I paid. We had to wait more than 1 hour after we have ordered to receive our meal at the restaurant. All the waiters and the other employees were wearing just a plastic face shield without any other face mask or PPE. Many guests weren't wearing any face mask in the common areas and nobody wasn't there to call them to the rules.”
