Hotel vicino a Monastero Saint John's Abbey - Collegeville

“We got an upgrade from a room with 2 queens on a main floor to a room upstairs with a king because the room with 2 queens was needed for someone unable to navigate the stairs. Luckily this wasn't an issue for us (a couple), but the staff didn't ask (though we've stayed there before so perhaps she recognized our names). The room smelled a bit of stale smoke which seemed to be coming from the ancient (but efficient) AC unit. Would be nice to have a nightstand (and outlet) on both sides of the bed...

“The first room we had no lights and the bed had been slept in. They upgraded our room but the room was absolutely disgusting. The bedding had stains and holes in them, the carpets were stained, we had 1 set of holey towels and the whole room smelt horrible. I highly do not recommend staying here. Upon leaving we noticed a paper taped to the door about a work notice for fixing water repairs and other maintenance that is needed. The young staff was nice but the overall stay was horrible.”

“Nicely decorated, quiet, and very clean. Good location for us to ride bike trail. But breakfast was a C+, very carb heavy though hard boiled eggs were available. But VERY pricey for the overall. Not many other choices in the area...”

“We came for a memorial service and our whole family came down with norovirus the next day after arrival. 20 of us after using the pool and facilities and eating in the great room. The eggs and biscuits and gravy were burned and re-used Saturday morning. Looks like they were left out or reheated for days. By synday morning we were all deathly sick. Called the MN dept of health and reported it.”

“The room was great for the most part. The pull out couch was uncomfortable and the noise from the hallway through the night was very audible from the room where the couch was located making for a rough night of sleep. The separate bedroom area allowed for those in that space to sleep well and not hear the hallway noise as much.”

“Always ask if there’s an elevator and if the pool is heated.”

“The pool "under renovation"....was clear from the empty pool, dust, clutter, discarded furnishings that filled the pool and pool deck that it had been an abandoned area.”

“Hot tub was not open. Disappointed in the coffee at breakfast. Otherwise our stay was good when we were in the hotel as we were in town for a baseball tournament.”

“The property was in a great location close to everything restaurants, shopping and breweries and bars. Would stay again.”
