Per arrivarci un po’ si soffre....ma vale la pena
Appartamenti sparsi, situati all’interno del castello di Monemvasia, dove non mancano certo scale in salita e discesa. Una volta arrivati in camera ci si trova in un ambiente molto bello, ristrutturano in stile greco antico. Per fortuna c’è un grosso aiuto nel trasporto bagagli. La reception è prodiga di consigli e di dritte per meglio godere delle visite nella zona. Consigliato.

Parking may be tough but great place to stay if touring the castle. Walk to the top, you won't regret the views. Explore and hit Byron's wine cave. April is a great time to visit.

Great location. Front desk staff who checked us in was fabulous and gave many good recommendations. Room overall was very clean but not attractive - we did not want to hang out there. Bed was very saggy in the middle and not comfortable. Aircon ok but not great. WiFi was not good. Shower was in bad condition - I did not use it but my husband did, and shower head fell off the wall. A Good Value Stay in the Heart of Old Monemvasia.
The hotel is a number of rooms spread through several buildings in the old fort of Monemvasia. The room we had was large and comfortable but the bathroom was very small. A good breakfast is served in a nearby cafe. Good value for money. Not very accessible - quite a few steep steps. Parking can involve a lengthy walk back to the hotel.

Perfect Location
Best located hotel. Right in the middle of the castle next to the few shops and restaurants, also near the exit with the shuttle to the port. Accommodations are rustic, but spacious. Breakfast was probably the best I’ve ever had at a hotel. Good value.

Bom! We enjoyed a fairy tale weekend here. Monemvasia is a truly amazing place, jaw droppingly beautiful, and all the locals we interacted with were lovely. Our room was straight out of a Hollywood movie set except it was original and real! Sixth century stone building with a modern bathroom cleverly incorporated without taking anything away from the character. Good size with a lovely balcony overlooking part of the town and out to sea, furnished ideally for practicality and style complete with an excellent bed and comfortable mattress. Soooo romantic. Breakfast (provided at the Byzantino Cafe on the main thoroughfare overlooking the main square) was five star with a choice of everything you could wish for. All the staff were wonderful and welcoming, exceeding expectations and going the extra mile to make our stay perfect. Overall great value. Everything about our short break was like a dream and we can't wait to return and spend more time.

Emplacement parfait, hôtel disposant de plusieurs chambres éparpillées dans la citadelle. Chambre immense, petite vue mer et toits des maisons anciennes. Salle de bain minuscule, pas de lavabo mais un lave main Literie la pire jamais rencontrée : matelas posé sur des planches de bois, même le carrelage était plus confortable. Dommage quand on est bien fatigué après les randonnées fatigantes de la journée

Super emplacement
Cet hôtel est situé dans le cœur de cette ville nichée dans des remparts magnifiques. Le personnel de l’accueil est vraiment serviable et accueillant. Nous avons pris la chambre supérieure et j’avoue que nous avions été un peu déçus dans le sens où elle ressemblait beaucoup aux photos de la chambre double normale donc pour 20e de plus, je pense que ça ne vaut pas le coup. A part ça, la vue était magnifique. Il y avait le choix aussi au petit déjeuner.

Nous avions loués deux chambres en même temps et nous nous sommes trouvés séparés. La salle de bain est minuscule, avec une douche en trompe-l’œil, très peu pratique. Il fallait faire des contorsions pour s’assoir sur le WC. Le calme de la chambre a été perturbé par le bruit continu d’une machine à partir de 6h40. Seul points positifs, la vue et le petit déjeuner vraiment delicieu.

This is the spot you want in Nafplio!
From the moment you walk in the door, you feel completely at home in this small family-run boutique hotel. The hotel is managed by a mother-son team who together provide excellent orientation to the town, a huge, delicious breakfast in the morning, and will go out of their way to help you plan and enjoy your time in Greece. They called wineries and hotels in other towns to help us get the most out of our trip. Highly recommended. A word to the wise, park your car in the main port area and find the hotel by walking a short distance. Driving up the small streets to get closer can take you the wrong way down some tiny, tiny one way streets. Book this place, it made our stay in Nafplio special.

We came from Stoupa, where we have a little house, to celebrate my sister’s birthday. Monemvasia is quite sleepy in January with not much open, but still a wonderful place to visit at any time of year. Byzantino is lovely and the staff very accommodating. As it was a bit rainy and I am “of a certain age,” they gave us a room that was easy to get to, not down many steps which would have been difficult for me. The breakfast was lovely, enough food to last till dinner!

Unique experience - loved it!
Oh my gosh, this so so much fun! We expected things to be pretty touristy, but we were pleasantly surprised. It was really classy, very good restaurants and nice shops. The hotel was fantastic, the staff was very helpful and the room was enormous and unique. We stayed in November, so it was off season, but there were still enough people there to make it fun. Great experience- we would recommend a 2 night stay! A lot of reviewers complain about the parking, but it really wasn't that big of a deal. Not a place for people with lower mobility, but otherwise, it's a pleasant walk from your parking spot to the entrance, and great views so enjoy!

Très bon accueil. Chambre pittoresque,accès par un minuscule escalier en colimaçon, il ne faut pas avoir forcé sur la moussaka avant :-) Magnifique vue depuis la chambre et son balcon, bien équipée (pantoufle, cafetière Nespresso, bouilloire, TV, Wifi). Petite salle de bain fonctionelle aux effluves malodorantes émanant de la canalisation de la douche ! Déjeuner moyen sur jolie terrasse au cœur de cette splendide citée médiévale. On choisirait à nouveau cet hôtel !

Unique experience
The staff was efficient and extended a warm greeting and explained everything. The luggage was whisked away quickly which was a real help. Staying on the rock was a unique experience for people who are able to walk the cobblestone streets and are open to new experiences.

Marvellous in Monemvasia
This was an impromptu weekend away to Monemvesia and a last minute booking which did not disappoint. Byzantino were welcoming and a lovely breakfast in the cafe overlooking the square after watching the sun rise over Haiga Sophia was fantastic. Konstantina's welcome and explanation of amenities and location were much appreciated.

Chambres éparpillées dans plusieurs vielles maisons.La notre avait beaucoup de charme avec une vue partielle sur la mer par de petites ouvertures.En revanche la salle de bains était assez mal commode en raison de son exiguite (marche hyper glissante après avoir utilisé la douche ).Petit déjeuner très agréable sur la petite place avec de bonnes préparations typiquement locales.Un vrai bonheur d'avoir la vielle ville rien que pour nous avant l'arrivée des flots de visiteurs.

Amazing accomodation in a castle city
Service was outstanding! Our luggage was brought from the car to our rooms and back,something very nice because it's quite a hike through the old stone alleys of the castle city. We got clean towels and sheets daily, plus a whole line of APIVITA toiletries daily as well. Room was super clean

Dieses Hotel würden wir wieder wählen.
Das Frühstücks Buffet mit lokalen Spezialitäten war unbeschreiblich gut und man hätte 3 Wochen bleiben müssen, um alles kosten zu können.

Hotel bloß nicht buchen- Horrorbad!
Einrichtung muss überholt werden. Teppiche im Wohnbereich sind eklig muffig und das Bad ist der Horror- Schimmel und nicht richtig gereinigt. Zudem findet man Flecken und Haare in der Bettwäsche!

Disappointing overrated accommodations
The entrance to the room was over a narrow spiral staircase. The bed upstairs in the attic was uncomfortably hard, with a small pillow, and located in awkwardly small distance from the wall. The room was stuffy, and every movement was heard. In the bathroom there was a space for the shower between the walls. The balcony space was very disappointing and not as advertised. It was partitioned using a portable divider which separated its space from an adjacent room's. For a triple room it contained a tiny portion of the balcony with a table with two chairs placed along the divider and a tiny space to squeeze in for one standing person. It was so small and uncomfortable that it couldn't be used. The view from the window was limited, showing a streak of the sea over the rooftops. A nearby restaurant in the adjacent building was noisy in the evening. The room didn't provide a good sleep quality, looked cheap, and was disappointing overall, giving an atmosphere of living in an old house and not a castle. The breakfast served in a nearby small cafe was good. When asked for a sightseeing advise, the hotel personnel said that there is not much to see in Monemvasia. Monemvasia's Upper town could have provided better views but it was closed for restoration. Lower town is small with a few tourist shops and restaurants. The main attraction is walking and climbing the stairs along its narrow streets and old churches. But with Upper Town being closed Monemvasia doesn't deserve a stay
