5th stay and just as great

We love “our country place”! Come here every year and it’s super fun, clean, cozy, games inside and out for the kids, movies, bicycles, and more! Great stay once again.

Christmas trip to Polar Express

It was like visiting my late grandmothers house, we loved it. The view of the land is beautiful and wish we would've had more time to enjoy it but we had a full schedule and only a couple days there (plus it was too cold for me outside). I loved having no houses close by yet it was only 20 min to get to Polar Express. We hope to go back and enjoy the home this spring.

Christmas trip to Polar Express

We really enjoyed our stay at this property. It was like visiting my late grandmother with the decor/age of the house and we loved being away from other homes. We weren't able to enjoy the property like we wanted because we were so busy but it was a beautiful view and we hope to go back for a weekend getaway. The house is only 20 min to Polar Express and different Christmas events in Palenstine.

4th time visiting

The “country house” as my kids now call it was excellent for our 4th stay! House was more stocked than ever with essentials, cookware, and even decorated for Christmas! So cute! Christmas blankets on the bed was a nice touch, we enjoyed them. 30 minute drive into Palestine for Christmas festivites like Polar Express. So much to do at the house- garage is full of yard games, bikes, firewood stocked with big fire pit and outdoor dining table. We being our golf cart and ride out into the pasture to see the cows and the ponds and the kids run around and play. Just a nice quiet relaxing kid friendly getaway!!

Nice classic Texas Ranch

Roomy house with big kitchen and covered back porch. We’ve stayed here three times now and used as base for access to various WMA. Owner is responsive and nice to rent from.

Amazing

This is one of our favorite home away from home getaway spots. To wake up every morning to the view of the sunrise and the livestock passing through lets me know it is going to be a wonderful day. Then to watch the beautiful sunset in the evening is spectacular. The home is very spacious and well equipped for a large family like mine. Our host is one of greatest!

Family Vaca

We really enjoyed our stay. It was nice to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city. The kids enjoyed riding around and exploring the property on our four wheelers, especially at night with the spot light. We also enjoyed fishing, though the ponds weren’t stocked so we only caught a couple of very small fish. The house was neat, clean and the beds were all very comfortable. We will be back soon!

Great place to stay

We had a lovely time at this property. Upon arrival the water had been turned off accidents but one call and it was promptly fixed. The house was cozy and it was so relaxing being in the middle of a cow pasture. It was neat watching the cows out the kitchen window. It was just very peaceful. We would definitely stay here again!

Fantastic Weekend

Had a group of 10 friends looking for a quiet get-away out in the country, and this place was perfect! We spent most the weekend outdoors either sitting by the fire pit, cooking burgers on the grill, or exploring the beautiful Texas countryside. The house was perfect. FYI - this isn’t the Ritz, this is staying at grandmas farm house! We had so much fun looking at photos on the walls, and decorations from the 40s and 50s. We all told stories of what it was like staying at our grandparents as kids. So nostalgic! And the property manager, Keri, was perfect in answering questions and preparing us for our stay. Every person in our group wants to do it again for a perfect get away from the city!
