“Great Bear is a lovely chalet with breathtaking views in a unique environment. I cannot think of a better summer escape, given the stunning surroundings of the Val Hérens, the local cuisine, produce, meat products, and delicious wines. The chalet fits the rustic character of the tiny village perfectly, while affording the necessary comforts for an Alpine stay. Absolutely LOVED IT!!!”

“It was amazing stay in Zermatt !! Location was perfect to see the Matterhorn and go skiing. There’s no other option for us. Rooms are spacious , clean , enough of spaces to put our clothes, and great kitchen (although without microwave). We also enjoyed fire the stove! ”

“There were so many amazing things about this property. First, the hosts, Chris and Fi were so helpful and everything was well communicated. The uphill walk with our luggage was a little tough, but the apartment was beautiful, and the views of the Matterhorn were incredible!”

“The house is pretty, quaint, organized, clean. It is very well equipped with everything needed. Great coffee machine, Oven, Gas, fireplace, Washer and dryer (in one machine, about 8 hour cycle). Diese muss man etwas beherzt befahren, dafür steht das Chalet für sich, in ruhiger Lage, mit Blick auf Bergwald, Weiden und die erhabene Weisshorngruppe. Stube und Essbereich gemütlich, mit hoher Holzdecke und schönem Rundumblick, Küche modern und zweckmässig, die Bäder sind ebenfalls modern und geschmackvoll eingerichtet.
