“We were here for a couple of days and had a wonderful stay! The place is kept clean, and it sits right by the ski hill. Nothing beats a soak in the hot public bath after a day of skiing. Also loved the breakfast and dinner! The gem though was the staff, who were incredibly friendly and went out of the way to help us. ”

“Very clean and great service! The whole place is bean-themed which is very cute. Every part of the welcome snack and breakfasts had some kind of bean. They also have very nice free homemade drinks. Your room also has a chocolate bean snack which is really yummy! There’s a private toilet (no bath) and sink in your room, with plenty of private baths available on the first floor. “The hospitality (service and meals) at Shiganoyu Hotel were amazing. While we did not speak Japanese and the staff did not speak English, they used a translation tool for conversation and didn't let that be a barrier. It was so comfortable for our family of 5 - very homey and welcoming. The tea and treat upon check-in was a nice surprise and delicious. The onsen was a relaxing bonus! “One night was definitely not enough! Clean room, great amenities, a wide variety of delicious buffet options, and three relaxing hot springs. I did notice a comment about one of the baths, which I understand, but the water quality was still excellent and very soothing. Special thanks to Mr. Kakumoto for his friendliness and exceptional service truly went above and beyond!! I'll definitely stay here again when I'm back in town. ”

“Staff was super friendly. They took us to the ski gear rental shop and back again to return the stuff. Their English was ok, enough to explain what buses to take, recommend pistes, etc. We even received a small gift when leaving. I recommend reserving the 3 meal course.”

“The room was really spacious with beautiful views of the surrounding mountains. Breakfast was included but dinner we ate out as the hotel is large and they can't accommodate everybody. This was not a problem as there were so many restaurants in town. You do need to time the shuttle bus well though. Overall, a brilliant place to visit and really worth the money.”
