All good. Pictures need to be updated to be more accurate.
The property was great. Everything we needed was there, and clean. The key box was a little difficult to get into but not a big deal. The reason why this was not a 5 star rating was that the cabin was not as pictured. The beds in the bedrooms were not the same(not as many as listed).. the layout in the sun room was different. The bar was different than pictured. The frig and table and chains were even different.... had we planned for as many to stay as it listed it could sleep we would have been very uncomfortable. Again... for us not a big deal, we didn't need all those beds. It was just not what we expected when we got there.. again none of that affected us.. just had to double check address felt like we were in the wrong cabin.

Wonderful cabin
I’ve rented this property twice now. It’s a perfect little spot. Clean and neat. Everything works great! I will be back again next winter for sure!

Girls weekend getaway

Nice getaway spot
This cabin was only an hour away from home. Location and neighbors were great. Had lunch at the Bar a couple doors down. Great food. Wish we would have made it for the Fish Fry on Friday. We could tell by the photos the lake might not be great for swimming. We took the drive into Portage and swam at Silver Lake. They have Kayaks available for rent. The cabin was very nice and clean.

Adequate
Adequate if you just need a place to stay or for a place to eat and sleep while spending your days on the water. Nice location right on the lake. Key was missing from the lockbox upon arival. Management was quick to provide a key but it was her copy. Window behind the bar was unlocked. Didn't feel very secure. But we saw pelicans! Yay!

We followed up with the homeowner after reading your feedback, and they wanted to share the following: We apologize for the mishap with the key but were happy to supply you with a new one as soon as you let us know. The window lock may have been overlooked by the cleaning team but we can assure all guests that the home and the area are very secure. Thanks for taking the time to leave your review!

It was okay
The house itself was decent overall, but there were some issues. It did not seem like this house had been cleaned in between guest stays. Floors were not vacuumed and the whole house including the linens and towels smelled of strong cigarette smoke. The description of the stay says “No Smoking”. It was difficult to stay/sleep in a house that smelled like cigarettes.

Cozy with beautiful views
We want to come back in the summer and experience this beautiful lake. The property was very nice and had everything we needed. There could have been a little more detail to cleaning, but overall it was a nice place.

Buffalo Lake cabin...
The interior is as pictured (except the couch is different and moved to south wall). We paid a premium price for this place because we wanted to use our boat on the lake and we thought this would work (from the pictures). This is not that kind of lake. It is choked out with weeds and protected lily pads. There is a narrow lane to use in the middle and people anchor and fish in that. Each cast from shore brings back a musky sized weed. Learned a lesson. If you only wish to look at the lake, this was ok. The bar next door was nice, had a real up north feel. Just leave the boat at home.

This is a beautiful, lakeside cabin
It's a very beautiful cabin, and very impressive woodwork inside. This is a low key, quiet spot on the lake. It was just what we needed. We got the impression this is a good place for fishing, definitely no crowded Dells here. Peggy & Marvin Greener

Great cottage on the lake
This was a wonderful property with direct lake access. Our stay was very relaxing and the we really enjoyed our weekend. It was nice having privacy, but also being a short drive into town to get supplies is quite convenient. The property was very clean, and we loved we were able to bring our 2 dogs along for a very reasonable small fee. My family and I would highly recommend this property for anyone looking for a nice getaway.

Cozy and Quiet
Our family of 4 and our dog stayed here for 4 days. It was clean and had just what we needed. We had a wonderful time fishing, sitting by the fire and playing cards at night. The road was not convenient for walking our dog and the lake was not great for swimming but we rented a pontoon and had a great time exploring Buffalo Lake!

Lovely cabin
This was a lovely cabin fit for 4. A couple of things I suggest is moving the large tv from the bar area no one can watch it over there comfortably and remove the extra beds no one can use. One major disappointment was the lake has so much algae and seaweed we could not fish, this was the main reason I choose this cabin with a dock. You can not swim in this lake either.

Great cabin on the lake!
Just returned from a fantastic Memorial Day weekend at this cabin. The cabin was perfect for our family of four and our dog. The cabin had plenty of space and was very comfortable. The cabin was extremely clean and contained everything we needed. We particularly enjoyed the great view and fishing from the pier. The folks at Todd’s Buffalo Lake next door were great...they even helped me dock the boat I rented from Johnson’s. We look forward to coming back again.

Anniversary weekend
The cabine was nice and clean. The weather wasnt the greatest but we made the best of it. Its a little pricey for the size. Would be nice if both of the bedrooms weren't cluttered with so many beds. The place is to small to sleep that many people.

Relaxing with great view!
Had a nice time with the family. The cabin was clean, had all the things we needed and a great view. One thing to note was it was a big hassle getting into the cabin due to sidewalks around the cabin not being shoveled. So, getting to the lock box was a challenge. Otherwise highly recommended.

Was a great time
We had a great little getaway to this cabin. It was perfect for our family of three and really appreciated the opportunity to bring our dog with us. One recommendation would be to have measuring utensils and maybe some Tupperware available in the kitchen. Also the amount of beds was too much. I’m not sure if the house could accommodate that many people and makes the bedrooms feel small. It also would have been nice to have access to the fish cleaning shack. Overall we did like it and bluegills were biting like crazy. Thank you for sharing your home with us.

Wonderful, Peaceful Getaway!
When we were looking to book near the Dell's we wanted something more private and less chaotic than the Dell's area, and this spot was perfect! There was a small town just a few miles up the road with a beautiful waterfall, and plenty of stores. The actual home was adorable. It was perfect and just what we were looking for. The private dock was superb for fishing. We would definitely come back to this place! Wonderful place!

Nice place
The cabin had plenty of space, very nice beds, close to water, and was recently remodeled. The lake was full of small bluegills which was perfect for our granddaughter.

Peaceful Weekend
This was the perfect place to stay for a relaxing weekend. The cottage was nicely updated, well stocked and very clean. Location was great with a pier for fishing on the lake, a short drive to downtown Montello and right next door to a delicious Friday fish fry spot. Our daughter loved the bunk beds, too. We definitely would return.
