“Less than basic”

“It might have had a lick of paint since most of the online photos were taken, but it doesn't look as though its been cleaned much since then. Very dusty and dirty in both the rooms and the bathroom. With regards to cleaning, i'd say the bare minimum has been done. You can usually tell from the corners of the room and especially the cupboard, which was quite dirty and could have been in the same condition since any renovations. Musty smell throughout too. “Excellent well appointed and very comfortable. The owners were welcoming and the extras in the room were a lovely touch. The breakfast was delicious with high quality ingredients and plenty of it. The communal lounge a nice touch with the honesty bar. Would highly recommend. ”

“The hotel is lacking in cleanliness, our room had thick layers of dust on the surfaces and the inside of the wardrobe was filthy, the plug chain to the sink was in 3 pieces placed next to the tap and the bathroom door did not shut properly. “The room was clean and very compact, it lacked appeal but had most of the amenities you would want at this price. There is no interaction with staff at all as self check in, the heating wasn’t on although the radiator in the hall was hot, one curtain hardly covered the window, my room,2, was at the front of the property so people leaving the pub were talking loudly at 11.30/12pm and then again at 1am which woke me up, the shower was good, the wash basin so tiny you couldn’t get the tiny kettle...
