The cosy ambience in the open aspect living area with exposed stone walls and dropped beams is reflected throughout the cottage from the moment you open the front door. On relaxing evenings in, you can enjoy the fire, set in an open brick feature fireplace from the homely living area or whilst dining in the kitchen area with seating for four. Set all on one level, the cottage has two bright and airy bedrooms, one with a super kingsize zip and link bed, both with luxury mattresses and bedding, perfect for a great night’s sleep. Through the French doors in the living room, you will find a fully enclosed, south facing lawned garden with seating, ideal for relaxing after a day of exploring Northumberland, or for enjoying your morning cup of tea. The fully fitted, well-equipped kitchen provides a lovely space should you wish to cook whilst staying here in Cowslip Cottage. A generous welcome hamper is provided to get you started on your first evening after your travels. It includes some food and treats for you, some treats for your dog(s), a starter pack of fuel for the wood burner, some complimentary toiletries and cleaning essentials. A highchair and travel cot are provided and additional baby facilities may be available on request.

Felton is in an ideal location, not too far from the A1, making venturing out very easy in all directions. Head over to the stunning Northumberland Heritage Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, with miles of golden beaches, peppered with historic castles, or head west over to Hadrian’s Wall area where you can spend time walking some of the ancient wall. Or perhaps stop off at one of the Roman Forts. Felton is only a few minutes from Alnwick, home still to the Duke of Northumberland who resides in part of the majestic castle. Some scenes from Harry Potter and Downton Abbey were filmed within the castle walls. Discover the cobbled streets, with a great choice of pubs and cafes. Northumberland is reputedly the friendliest county in England where you can be assured of a really warm welcome.
