“Loved this place on the side of the hill. We had a waterfront view and the room was very spacious. Breakfast was nice, a few hot items but it satisfied you. Staff was super nice and there is ample parking. If you like to walk, you could walk into to town but it’s a little hike. We did drive into Bar Harbor for dinner and paid to park in a lot but finding somewhere to eat around 7, without waiting 90 minutes was hard. “Good hotel overall: clean, spacious rooms, well organized, and a convenient free shuttle to downtown every 15 minutes. Unfortunately, my “ocean view” balcony room was right in front of the air conditioning units and the restaurant’s exhaust chimney. Constant noise and fried food smell made it impossible to sleep well or enjoy the balcony. These rooms should not be priced the same as unobstructed ocean views. Poor management decision that shows little attention to guest comfort.”
