“Very nice stay. Lovely big comfy bed. Clean and spacious room with good facilities. Staff very friendly. Only comment was that when we asked how to get the rugby on the tv channel, they weren't able to help and said to go over to the pub, which we did and saw it there, but maybe something that could be checked.”

“Overall we had a good stay at the motel. The room was clean, the staff were friendly, and the location was convenient. Most parts of the experience were smooth and enjoyable. The only major issue was the airport shuttle service. We paid $15 to book the 6am shuttle to the airport, but it never arrived. We waited until 6:30am with no communication or update from the motel. In the end, we had to book an Uber ourselves for a very similar price just to make our flight. What was most disappointing...

“We stayed overnight at Birches Motel as we had an early international flight out the next morning. The motel is in the middle of Reno’s and upgrading the rooms but we found our room to be perfect! Clean and comfortable which was just what we needed. Would happily stay there again! The shuttle picked us up at the airport which was great. No shuttle in the morning as we left at 5am but that was fine. Overall great overnight stay😊”

“Great little boutique motel in Ashburton. The host greeted me and showed me the room. The room has already had heat pump on which was great for the cold night. You have all amenities and then some like nespresso gusto machine. The thing that surprised me was the ropes in the wardrobe, just like in hotels. A good touch I think. We had a wee glitch at night where the TV turned itself back on every 2-3hrs. I have let the host know at the checkout in the morning.However, the bed and pillows...

“Great being on site where you can have breakfast and tea. And the meals are really good. The only negaetive was tge heater in the room goes off every 2 hours. So can get quite cold overnight”
