“First of all the view is amazing! Clean, spacious rooms. There is plenty of space for luggage and any hiking equipment. The heated floors are a nice touch and the large radiator heater gets the room nice and toasty. Having a kitchen is convenient as dining options are limited (and expensive) buy what you need beforehand in Twizel. There is also a laundry which is handy as you'll be getting dirty clothes on your daily hikes. Staff are friendly and helpful.”

“They had just renovated the property (had a bit of wet paint smell, but went away quickly with ventilation.) Everything was clean and fresh. Our family really appreciates 2 bedrooms. The kitchen and bathrooms were well equipped and everything was perfect! We had parking and could easily walk to town. Shuttle stops for Milford sound or the shotover jet boats are super convenient. I highly recommend this property. ”

“Had an issue with shower waste pipe not draining. On notifying reception they immediately looked at and changed my room. Good work from staff!!! Rooms were clean, tidy and comfortable with easy parking. Nice close walking distance to CBD for restaurants/cafes/bars ”

“The manager (possibly the owner) was lovely. We had a lake view room, which was beautiful once the fog lifted. It’s an easy walk to nearby restaurants, and we stayed for two nights on our way to and from Milford Sound—a great place to stop. The unit was clean and very well renovated, and we were pleasantly surprised to have an ensuite in the two-bedroom setup. The only downside was the underfloor heating. I loved it, but my husband and daughter had trouble sleeping, even with the window open....
