Mi è piaciuto: Posizione
The property is tastefully updated and is one of the cleanest properties I've ever stayed at in the islands. The layout is great and comfortable and there were plenty of linens for everyone. Beds were on the firmer side. The location was perfect for enjoying the Hilo side of the island. The host offered fabulous directions to find it. The wifi was great. There were basic kitchen things for cooking in. No laundry onsite but it wasn't an issue. The host offered lots of snorkel and water accessories. A true gem of a property!

The house was clean and well-equipped. We especially appreciated details like beach towels, lawn chairs, snorkel equipment, etc.Laundry facilities were exceptional! The snacks at welcome were thoughtful.Dampness in the home was a bit challenging; given the climate here, bath mats and towels stayed damp, and there was a bit of a musty smell in the home. The host was attentive and responsive, and All in all, this was a good home base for a family wishing to explore the east side of the island.

Only good things to tell - Very clean, a lot of space, everything you need is there, great location when visiting the east side of the island including Volcanoes National Park. The location of the property is also very quiet (only the frogs and other creatures at night take a bit of getting used to ;)). Can definitely recommend.

Very nice remote home

The house is in a nice location for a remote peaceful visit to the Big Island. The home was clean and well supplied and the hosts communicated well. There were a few critters in the kitchen while we were there, but not unexpected for a home located in such a remote area.A very nice stay overall!

The place was in a great location for what we needed and it was very quiet. I am not sure if I would have booked if I had known all of the rules beforehand or known that it was a duplex with the owners connected. It's completely possible that info is in the listing and I just missed it. We were looking forward to using the laundry while we were there, but when we really needed it we found the other tenants (we think owners) using it. We didn't realize ahead of time that it was shared.

High-quality spot for a family

Overall, a great stay! Very clean property, nice sized bedrooms, 2 full baths. Saw a few roaches around the property, so didn’t love that, but that happens when staying in the middle of the woods. Kitchen was pretty nice, stocked with plenty of dishes, cooking utensils, and pots/pans, plus some dry goods, like coffee, spices, oil, etc. would definitely recommend staying here!

2/10 Terribile

Non mi è piaciuto: Check-in e comunicazione
I would avoid this host. They were deceptive and cared more about renting a property that they were not sure would be up and running. The communication was deceptive and caused a terrible inconvenience for myself and my family. The host should have cancelled my reservation and refunded my money once they knew the property was damaged by the Hurricane. Instead they misled me that I could stay at an alternative property with an assurance the original property would be ready after 2 days. At the last minute the host told me the alternative property was rented by another person and I needed to be out by 11am, without any regard for my family. They said the original property would be ready for me to check in at 3pm or so and we could leave our luggage outside their house while we did our activities. Once we returned to get our luggage and check in to the original property I reserved, I was informed the electricity was not working correctly and the refrigerator was not working and that we would have to use ice and a cooler for our groceries and stay on one side of the unit which had one bedroom (it was 4 of us) and I paid over 800 dollars for a 3 bedroom 2 bathroom location. BEWARE OF THIS HOST THEY CARE MORE ABOUT MONEY. My family and I had to drive 2 hours to the other side of the island. All this could have been avoided if the host had been upfront in the beginning that they were not sure if the location I reserved would really be ok after the hurricane.
