Campo bellissimo in una posizione fantastica, affacciato su un piccolo fiume dove gli animali vanno ad abbeverarsi. Personale estremamente cortese, ottima la qualità del cibo.

The riverfront location was stunning and teeming with wildlife. We saw hippos, elephants, baboons and even lions right in the camp, and every meal was delightful under the shade of the big tree. Our lodging felt palatial, with our own plunge pool, outdoor deck and cabana, unlimited bar fridge, and total privacy. The service was outstanding in every respect, Ron and Louis were our butlers and spoiled us with attention. Nick was our amazing guide, and helped us spot baby lions at a fresh kill, hyenas and all kinds of wildlife and birds, not to mention his great sense of humor and superb sundowner cocktails. The experience was “once in a lifetime” but I can’t wait to return again!

Le lodge est superbement situé au bord de la rivière Nwaswitdontso, Les repas se prennent sur une vaste terrasse surplombant la rivière avec vue sur des hippopotames faisant leurs ablutions. On accède aux chambres par un pont en bois surélevé qui contribue à une immersion dans l’ambiance Out of Africa. Les chambres sont spacieuses, et bénéficient d’une piscine privée sur terrasse extérieure, et d’une douche et baignoire avec vue sur la rivière. C’est beau et romantique. Mais certains points font que l’on reste un peu sur sa faim et que le prix semble un peu trop élevé en comparaison avec d’autres lodges, y compris à Sabie Sands. En effet, la nourriture est assez moyenne, et il faut le dire et l’ambiance générale assez froide et impersonnelle. De plus, peut-être par malchance, ou du fait que le Lodge n’avait qu’un seul véhicule pour les safaris et que notre ranger n’avait visiblement pas de contacts avec les rangers des lodges voisins, nos 2 Game Drives se sont transformés en 2 balades en 4x4 dans le bush sans apercevoir la queue d’un léopard, d’un lion, d’une hyène …

Wonderful stay
Third visit to Hamiltons and it was excellent like the previous two visits. Food, service, game drives, ambiance...5 stars all around. We plan to return in 2022.

Ultimate Wildlife stay-Hamiltons
Johan and Ben with all the staff welcomed us with open arms and made us feel right at home. On entry we had welcome drinks and snacks on offer. Shortly to depart for a night drive whom our private game driver Nicholas was so informative and eager to go the extra mile. To the butlers Jan and Louis who would literally get upset should we beat them to top up our own drinks. To the chef that made scrumptious food and kept us well fed. Thank you for making our honeymoon the very best and grateful to have met you all. See you Hamiltons...soon, very soon!

Nice Lodge
Service was excellent, food was delicious, room was beautiful and comfortable. We were disappointed in the guided safari drives however. We had just come from another lodge where the guide had shared so much information about animal behaviors, flora, the ecosystem, etc. We learned so much. Whereas these drives seemed to be just looking to check certain animals off a list. We barely got any information and while it was exciting to see lions, we stayed watching them too long, which I didn’t even know was possible but it is. We watched them for a wonderful, long time then drove away to have snacks and then drove back and just watched them some more - when the first viewing was definitely long and sufficient. It felt like we missed other things to see.

The rave reviews from other travellers are accurate - this place is amazing. The service was friendly and warm, the food was excellent, the game drives were not only interesting, but fun and the rooms (more like exotic suites, really) are romantic and beautifully appointed. We absolutely loved our stay here.

One of the reasons why we chose Hamilton’s is the unique style of the whole camp which looked exactly like on the photos. The rooms have stupendous views, are really tidy and luxurious. Since the camp is located in the middle of the bush, animals are always close to the camp. It is an amazing experience to sit on the terrace and see animals walking by. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. Our guide on the Safaris was great and we saw a lot of different animals. We loved everything. Highly recommended!

Authentic & Old World Charm Safari Lodge
Authentic and "old world charm" lodge in Kruger Park with a fantastic view on a frequently visited waterhole. From the balcony of our beautiful 'Out of Africa' style tent (tent 1) we saw many animals wander by and at night we heard the Lions roar. Hamilton's also provided us a great bush experience, our ranger knew all the good animal spots and was very knowledgeable. We spotted the big 5 in one day! The staff and the rangers were all very friendly and with the lodge only having 6 tents it had a very personal touch. Our only feedback would be the Food. We looked forward to eat South African cuisine and were slightly disappointed when we got teriyaki salmon and schrimp pasta, these dishes were also overcooked and therefore not very tasty. We also realized that the chef was running out of stock on Monday, we no longer received fresh orange juice at breakfast, no fresh fruit and the leftover tomato soup of Sunday night became the chicken sauce of Monday night. We really don't expect a fancy dinner in Kruger, but we would have been a lot happier with a simple braai or something more South African. Also, this would also be more eco-friendly than importing non-local fish.

Lovely Place in the Bush
The facilities were excellent. From the greeting to the departure the staff were very friendly and helpful. Thoroughly enjoyed our time there. The game drives were excellent and Wes was a great host and guide. The food was excellent. Enjoyed the quiet evenings in the lounge area just relaxing and observing the animals. Would highly recommend the lodge for a great time in the bush.

Everything Exceeded Expectations
The property, staff, food, and game drives all exceeded expectations! Big five were spotted in the first 24 hours and the overall amount of game sightings were impressive. Having worked for the Walt Disney Companies I am always very critical of staff performance and attention to detail at properties and Hamiltons nailed everything. The manager, Ben, went above and beyond for my wife and I. Went out of his way to personally drive us 2.5 hours each way to a doctor when my wife was ill and on a Sunday at that. Ben was 10 stars out of a possible 5. The rest of the staff including our guides Wes & Simon were exemplary as well. Only disappointing part is the fact that I live in the US and can not return more frequently!

Lovely experience
I loved my stay here. We had gourmet dinner under the stars and the service was above and beyond. The grounds are beautiful, we saw lots of animals on the safari, the food was delicious.

If you like baboon urine!
Overall enjoyed our stay but expected more for the price, only the staff made the place through the service being at an extremely high standard. But the place is becoming a little tired with stained fabric ceilings and wooden walkways feeling unsafe. What was VERY disappointing was the fact the hotel knew baboons slept above our cabbin no.4 which stank or urine. Every morning finding a sticky patio and entrance saturated in urine and covered in faeces. Understand its in the park but either encourage the baboons to sleep in other trees or move the Hut! We were woken several times to hear the baboons urinating on the roof plus diarrhoea!!! Even after the Hut was washed down faeces remaind on the balcony:(

Super super ervaring!
Absoluut geweldige ervaring. Luxe tented camp in the bush, zonder de luxe van de veel duurdere kampen, maar alles super in orde. Je merkt aan het personeel dat zij werkelijk blij zijn er te kunnen werken en dat vertaalt zich ook in een super aangename en gemoedelijke sfeer. Kwaliteit van het eten was super en de kwaliteit van de game drives was absoluut ongeëvenaard. Onze ranger, Wesley had een goed oog en was bovendien zeer onderlegd waardoor het zeer interessant werd. We hebben tijdens deze huwelijksreis cheeta's en luipaarden (die prooi aan het verorberen waren in een boom) gezien wat op zich enorm uniek is. Wij komen zeker terug. Er zijn zeker nieuwere en luxueuzere kampen te vinden maar die gemoedelijke sfeer ga je moeilijk ergens anders terugvinden naar mijn gevoel en de prijs van dit kamp is voor het totale all in pakket zeer scherp geprijsd bovendien.

The best honeymoon experience!
Had an absolutely wonderful stay at Hamilton's during our honeymoon. Our only regret was that just one night was way too short :-).. The Hamilton's team did everything in their power to make our stay unforgettable: including a romantic candlelight diner in our very own room! One suggestion for those planning a safari: our stay in the beginning of March was perfect, but for game-viewing not ideal: the vegetation was very dense after heavy rainfall, so spotting animals was a bit of a challenge (especially cats). So you might want to plan your stay at Hamiltons in the South African winter :-) Thanks so much guys!

Best ever!
Whenever a safari, then at the one and only Hamilton's Tented Camp. Perfect lodge, perfect food, perfect service and absolutely passionate rangers. Gareth led us to the Big Five in less than 24 hours. This could not just have been luck. We were verygappy and highly recommend this wonderful place abd experience. Thank you!!!

We are busy professionals. No internet and phone signal is exactly what we needed. We stayed in tent 6 and it's the furthest away and isolated. Harold the manager was great and food was amazing. No complaints. Will be going back next year. Back in Los Angeles and missing the place

Si quieres vivir una experiencia única, como si estuvieses en 1900, sin TV, teléfono, internet...es el sitio perfecto para relajarte y hacer safaris. Tuvimos mucha suerte y vimos muchos animales, y muy cerca!!! El trato del personal del hotel es inmejorable, siempre sonriendo. Se lo he recomendado a todo el mundo!

Out of Africa
Hamilton's was one of the best experiences ever. The tent cabins are out of this world and takes you back to movies like Casablanca and Out of Africa. Beautiful, opulent and luxurious. The food, was 5 Star....Service and staff wonderful and the view of elephants, lions, buffalo and monkeys are just out your back door. I will be back again and again.

tented camp stay
the setting is beautiful -- on the edge of a river with tent and porch looking out over waterholes --dining area has same view. were able to view elephants, water buffalo, all types of antelopes, baboons, hyenas in a constant parade -- our guide, D, was extremely knowlegeable and put his 'all' into scounting out animals. If there was any problem with food, it was that there was too much!!

Safari over too soon
it was like stepping back in time to what I imagine were safaris of old. The decor,the service not to mention the incredible safaris.

Hamiltons Tented Camp
A unique experience sleeping in the luxury tents. Very nice rooms with air conditioning and outdoor shower. The staff was wonderful - always happy and wanting to please the guests. Offered complimentary transfer to and from HDS airport only - About 1.5hr drive. The all inclusive did not include tips or drinks ordered during meals. The dinners were good and offered two choices for each meal. No wifi. The safari guides were very knowledgable and informative and truly loved their job and good at spotting the animals. Required to follow the park rules (drive on roads etc) unlike the private reserves. A morning (6-9am) and afternoon (4-7pm) game drive was offered daily. The bush was lush in Feb during the summer season.
