“The owners and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was very clean and the hotel was very quiet at night. It was an amazing position for early morning walks on the beach. Would definitely stay again.”

“Arrived pretty late but a warm welcome from the staff, the complimentary drink on arrival was well received and nice surprise. We stayed in the Langford Room which was amazing, lovely a clean, nice little things like the cookies and a welcome personalised note. Miles was excellent, spent time chatting with us and telling us about the area and where to go. Would highly recommend and will definately be back ”

“What stood out??? Well, for one, it was the staff. They welcomed me and gave me a lovely room. I had a table booked for 10 of my family, and the food was excellent. The wine was superb too, and I asked for a favour, which they delivered. This is one of my favourite hotels in the UK and will be my go-to whenever I go to Somerset to see my family. The only downside is the parking, but that is minuscule compared to the service I received from The Ancient Gatehouse. Well done all. ”

“Property on a beautiful setting, very relaxing and peaceful. Property very nice and you have all you need there. The Hot tub a lovely added bonus overlooking the Somerset countryside. Really enjoyed our stay. ”
