Love this the host was amazing we loved her the only complaint is there was no smoke alarm/ carbon dioxide detector and the lighting is very dim but overall we had an amazing time loved the cabin!

Worst place i have ever been to

Cabin was given to someone else. The one they offered was not the same it smelled horrible it was rickety bed was awful, it looked like a ran down dope house with junk every where. Said it had a bathroom nope. Never would I ever stay there.

Birthday Diamond Dig 2024

Myself and friends went for my birthday- bucket list to dig diamonds. I stayed in cabin #3 and they stayed in #2. I don't require the taj mahal and it worked just fine. It had cold air, a clean nice mini fridge and a microwave (I never used the microwave). The bathroom/ shower house is that of an older well used campground shower house and could use a face lift but gets the job done. The cabin is the same but it beats messing with a tent, your covered from the rain and the price is right. We enjoyed a nice campfire both nights, it was quiet and niby bothered us. The guy overseeing the place was even nice when I had to call him at 7am to get back in my cabin after showering and locking the key inside while doing so, lol. The main downside I see is the "permanent" residence that seems to be living there and have crap all around their campers, however they don't bother you it's just an eye sore. It's close to all kinds of food places and stores. Just needs a bit of a facelift but like said the price is right, just don't go in expecting a bunch of stuff. It's a rustic cabin. Have fun!

Terrible place

This property should not be listed for rent. Extremely run down, dirty, false representation of property. There's some ramshackle sheds on a small lot with barely enough room to park a vehicle, multiple permanent campers with trash and tarps around. Bath house is so filthy I wouldn't even use it, and I was raised in a third world country, so that says something. Host offered zero communication through VRBO.

We were happy but some people may be uncomfortable

Very simple cabin but the bed was very comfortable and it worked for our needs (hubby 6’5 and I’m 5’7). We had great 5G internet. It was perfect size for us and two kiddos who brought blow up mattress. The two things this facility could do to improve is 1. Clean the bathhouse (make it more presentable) 2. Enforce a community standard for trash laying around for those that live there. It would also be super nice if there was one grill for the community to use (we had to buy one) and if stumps were cut to sit around the fire or some kind of seating that would be very nice. Overall a good experience and we would go back.

Just as described

The cabin was very clean. The restroom was about 100' from our cabin, it is old school but clean and well lit. The grass was cut. We brought our two dogs with us and the loved it! There are people there that live in their RVs but they are all friendly. We stayed in cabin 3, which is the farthest from the restroom and at the end of the property. FYI...cabin 2 is closest to the restrooms.

Exactly what you see is what you get

Thanks for making everything easy. This is camping with electric and a roof. Exactly what it says it offers, it does. Anybody leaving a bad review should be ashamed of themselves. Thanks staff and crew. Be sure to give the kitty with the Peace collar my love :)

OK in a Pinch but dont reccommend otherwise.

The good: Close to Crater of Diamonds State Park in a car. Quiet even though there were several permanent RVs. Maybe quiet because of that. . Cabin was clean enough. Cabin was dry and warmer than camping outside on a 40 degree night. but not toasty at all.. Used our own cots so cant testify to bed which looked OK. Bathroom was quaint, homey and kinda clean. Host easy to communicate with. Not so good: Firepit by cabin was full of old beer cans and trash. Little pond by playground full of trash.. Residents next to the cabin were nice people( seemed like the camp had nice permanent residents) but there was a large trash pile right behind and to the side of camper cabin which was not appealing and certainly didnt appear in any of the pictures in listing!.. We had booked for two nights hoping to hang out but was not somewhere we wanted to return to . However would stay again if no other choice. It wouldn't take much for the owners to clean and maintian this place to get at least a 3 star review. But for some reason the place was unkept.

I like this cabin

If you are looking for the camping experience and be able to sleep on a mattress not ground. Have electricity, microwave, mini fridge, heater, and with the camping like bathroom/shower facility and be prepared like that...for the $38/night instead of $70 at a town hotel...I enjoyed it much and thank you.

There was a cut off stump covered in leaves we hit with our car at ripped the bumper off.

Parking area poorly maintained, cut off stump hid under leaves ripped our bumper off. Cabin not as described, very dirty, and the bed was uneven. The one side sat way lower then the other. Not very happy at all, after driving 20 hrs from michigan!

Bad vacation experience

The bed was on a broken frame, and 2x4s. No light on porch, not cleaned from previous renters, had to end up staying with family who rented a house. Not clean like advertised. It was close to the crater of diamonds, that's about the cabin we liked. I think with some TLC you could get happier guests. It was not inviting at all. For what I paid I could have paid just a little more for a hotel in town and at least had a bed on a frame.

Stay to use Diamond state park

Description and picture of cabin basic. Bed was terrible! Fell apart. No chairs to sit in to relax. Bathroom facilities need to be torn down and replaced.

Better than a tent!

If you’re there for the Crater of Diamonds State Park and to visit the cute Murfreesboro downtown, this is a fun option. After a full, hard working day of mining either in the sun or the cold, it was nice having air conditioning and a bathroom. Bathrooms were def sketchy…but they worked. Beats sleeping in a tent!

Unclean and mold issues. Too close to RVs.

We arrived and immediately looked for place to check in/confirm our reservation. There was no one around and no signs for where a manager would be. We checked to see if our cabin was unlocked and it was. The cabin was not cleaned from the last occupants because there was dirt everywhere and leftover supplies laying around. There were no lights on the front porch or inside. There was a mini light attached to the wall that worked. The mini fridge was not working. The cabin showed and smelled of mold. The showers in the campsite were covered in mold all over the ceilings and walls. We didn't use the cabin or the showers because of the health risk the mold and uncleanliness presented. We were happy that there was enough room next to our cabin to set up our tent but we had a difficult time sleeping in our tent bc people in their RVs were up until after midnight shining lights and shouting. Because the website advertises that there are just a few cabins to choose from, and does not mention RV hookups located right next to the cabins, and because the cabins and community showers were so filthy and moldy, I would not recommend and would discourage anyone from renting a cabin here. I would also request that the management fix the mold and cleanliness issues before there is a lawsuit filed against them , make themselves available for check in and check out for their guests, and fix their listing online to be more accurate concerning their lodging options.
