“the cottage was spotless. the heater was turned on for us so it was cosy on arrival. Plenty of quality teas, coffees, bread, milk and fresh eggs. It was amazing. “Chris is the consummate host. Met us at the property and showed us where everything was. He had the fires lit and it was cosy and warm on arrival. It’s well appointed with everything you need. Comfortable beds and plenty of room for relaxation. Easy to contact if needed. Thank you for your hospitality. ”

“The owners were great to deal with; they were amenable when we asked to add an extra teen and dog to our booking, and there was excellent communication throughout.Despite the weather being awful when we visited, the cottage was cosy, comfortable and warm”

“Such a cute, little house on a gorgeous property! We loved being welcomed by the pony and feeding him carrots. Sean had amazing communication and even had the fireplace going before we arrived to warm the place up. I loved that the exterior doors' handles were up higher so I didn't have to worry about my toddler letting herself out. We brought our 2 dogs with us and it was a super pet-friendly location with a closed in yard. It's a lovely spot for a rest and reset. Our walk along Gunbower Creek...

“Had a lovely 2 night stay over Easter with a friend. Cottage is clean, well utilized space inside, has everything you need, quite, private and friendly communication. Would love to stay again. ”

“It was beautiful and so peaceful, i was very surprised of how big it was, the best way to describe it was a home away from home with bonuses, the 2 person spa was great, a private little room where you can relax, the bedroom was large and well kept, it was a very cozy sleep and the morning after just sitting out on the lounge having a morning coffee was peaceful, my only downfall is i didn't stay longer, if anyone is considering this property for a little romantic getaway i highly recommend it ”

It is full of old world charm, beautifully decorated and within walking distance to the local eateries and attractions around the wharf and port precinct. “Two sisters on a road trip to Melbourne decided to break the journey in Beechworth and stay at Gladstone House. What a find! Location excellent - just a short stroll into town. The house is very old and because of this, there are a few areas where there are steps into rooms, but it was beautifully presented, spotlessly clean and thoughtfully provisioned.
