“We were so pleasantly surprised about everything, especially the proprietors Dave and Joyce. This property is a typical, old 1950s Motor Inn on the old Camino Real. “We loved the location and the staff was accommodating. The pool was small but clean and the kids enjoyed that. The room was a disappointment since the building is pretty old. The beds were comfortable, but that was the highlight. The bathroom looked old and looked as if they had put caulking over areas of mold or something. “They are still so nice here. The most kind people, and the rooms are spacious. I just don’t understand the price of stays going up significantly (other than last weekend, bc of the holiday and high demand). Because they are such wonderful people, I always only mention the positive and leave out the negatives. “Only thing we would have appreciated was a small patch of grass for the dogs (even artificial). The dog area was difficult to find. The area was all dirt that had just had the weeds hacked down to ground level. We did appreciate being able to buy a potty pad in the office, just in case.
