“The property is undergoing renovations at the moment, so it's not surprising that it's not as tidy as other hotels. However, that didn't present any issues as it was very quiet during the evening and night time, the staff was very pleasant, and the rest of the property was clean/tidy. The breakfast was the normal continental breakfast... pancakes, eggs, sausage, English muffins, bread, cupcakes, cereal, apples and oranges, and yogurt. Summer road trip 🚗 to Lake Placid, a quaint village in the Adirondacks region (which hosted the 1980 Winter Olympics) ⛷. In town for just a weekend, we decided to do the shortest and easiest hike in Adirondack and that was Cascade Mountain. ⛰ At an elevation of around 4000 ft., it offers great views of Lake Placid for a casual hiker. 👟👟 Trip highlight: 🌌Stargazing near a surreal mist covered pond in Tupper Lake area, with wolves 🐺 howling nearby. (I wish I had captured a video but as luck would have it, since it was an impromptu activity, we didn't have the right equipment. Then again, maybe it's best left for another visit to this cozy town 😊) #Adirondacks #NY #takeahike
